I'm planning on finishing this thing even if the forums disappear, I'll head to the SAS discord if they do. bewbies fucked around with this message at 13:58 on Jun 25, 2020 |

The Canaries have overcome all obstacles. COVID-19 at the meat packing plant. Being in South Dakota. Being named after a bird whose biggest job was to die. Truly the odds were against us. Getting Babe Ruth as the 5th overall pick was the start of something beautiful on the Prairie. Now here, atop the league like a corn-filled god. Our power should be limitless, but instead I am plagued by the fact that I don't have the player with the most sac flies anymore. It's like a splinter in my brain that I can't forget. MY SACRIFICE FLIES!

![]() Monday, September 21st Ham Fighters surrender the pennant lead they've held for months in the NL to a couple of hot Septembers. Lynx make a big late push while the Jobbers wobble. The good news for baseball fans: these two teams play one another in the last series of the season! 5 teams in for 3 wild card spots in the AL. Here's the odds: ![]() Twins have the toughest remaining schedule, Phillies have the easiest. Remaining series for each team trying to be the last to squeeze in the door (Phillies and Mets are probably in): Yomiuri Giants: @ NYG, @NYM. Tough break for a team that dominated in their own ballpark to have their last two series on the road. Montreal Expos: @ PHI, @HNK. That Philly series will probably decide who is a lock. Minnesota Twins: @SXF, NYG. SXF on the road is a tough series, but those last 3 games against the NYG are a nice perk at the end of the year. Honkbal Hoofdklasse All Stars are eliminated. Atlanta and KC are both in. Week 22 AL Player of the Week: Roberto Clemente: a whopping 13 for 21 with 2 dingers Week 22 NL Player of the week: Kirby Puckett: 15 for 29 with 3 dingers League News: A brawl in Lehigh Valley: ![]() Dazzy Vance dazzles a tough lineup: ![]() Standings ![]() Power Rankings ![]() Batting Leaders ![]() Pitching Leaders ![]() Fielding Leaders ![]() Team Batting Stats ![]() Team Pitching Stats ![]() Team Fielding Stats ![]() Sortable Stats Game Notes I think everyone has two series and 6-7 games left. Next sim will take us to the end of the regular season. If there ends up being either a winner-take-all game or a play-in game(s), I'll post the game log(s)...spoilered. Playoff managers, start thinking about your playoff lineups and pitching matchups!

![]() Saturday, September 26 ![]() We have quite a wild card race. The Expos' rough week puts both the Twins and Yomi Giants in contention for that last spot. The Jobbers slide along with the Lynx's hot streak has them neck and neck also. Two games remain for each team: Twins have NYG at home. Yomi Giants have NYM on the road. Expos have the Dutch on the road. Jobbers and Lynx have...each other. Expos vs All Stars, Game 161 Jobbers vs Lynx, Game 161 NYG vs Twins, Game 161 Yomi Giants vs NYM, Game 161 Elston Howard sends the Jobbers into the playoffs with a pinch hit home run in the top of the 9th! Jobbers vs Lynx, Game 162 Expos vs All Stars, Game 162 NYG vs Twins, Game 162 Yomi Giants vs NYM, Game 162 All someone had to do was win a game. Now we have a 3 way play-in situation in the AL. Apparently, the way this works is the Expos and Giants play each other, then the winner plays the Twins. This seems to favor the Twins quite a bit, I dunno if they won a coin flip or what. Also, we have a one-game playoff for the NL pennant between Atlanta and Kansas City. I'd just as soon concede this but oh well. Expos vs Giants, Play-in Game 1 KC vs ATL for the NL pennant Twins vs Giants, Play-in Game 2 And so our playoff bracket is set! ![]() bewbies fucked around with this message at 15:29 on Jul 9, 2020 |

I will start playoff sims tomorrow. I'll post game logs and box scores for each game. If you have any changes to make to lineups or strategy for the DS, throw them in the spreadsheet. For the CS and WS, I'll have managers set lineups and choose their starters before each game (if they want). For the WS: is there any interest in doing it in real time, with human managers ? Assuming we have active managers on both teams of course.

![]() Thursday, October 8 Division series are complete! Yomiuri Giants vs Sioux Falls Canaries Game 4 Box Score Game 4 Log Game 5 Box Score Game 5 Log It took these two teams right up to the last inning of the series to decide it. Honus Wagner ripped a 2 run double off Lee Smith in the top of the 9th to put the Giants ahead for good. Series MVP is Bill Madlock, who went a whopping 13 for 22....with 12 singles, but still. New York Mets vs Philadelphia Phillies Game 4 Box Score Game 4 Log Game 5 Box Score Game 5 Log Another series goes all the way to the 9th in game 5. The Mets do the Mets thing with a bunch of singles and 3 stolen bases in the top of the 9th to put it away. Your MVP is the Phillies Ralph Kiner, who went 9 for 21 with a dinger, a triple and a double. Witchita Jobbers vs Atlanta Braves Game 4 Box Score Game 4 Log Game 5 Box Score Game 5 Log A third series goes the distance, as the Jobbers protect a 1 run lead for four innings to win Game 5. They only allowed two baserunners (I think) the last half of the game. Your MVP is Big Willie Stargell, who ripped 10 hits in 23 ABs along with a game-winning dinger. Nippon Ham Fighters vs Kansas City Monarchs Game 4 Box Score Game 4 Log Game 5 Box Score Game 5 Log ANOTHER series decided in the 9th inning of game 5, as Kirby Yates gets lit up and Stephen Strasburg closes it out with 3 Ks. Your MVP is none other than the Great Ichiro, who went 10 for 22 with a dinger. Congratulations to our Championship Series teams! The first four games of the CS are simmed tomorrow.
