The whole thing about epistemic closure and the separation of folks on the right from actual objective reality is the hardest thing about all this. The fix might require drastic measures beyond what we could conceive or ever do.

I actually find that more annoying than the old system. In the old days, I never even heard what the second language was. By the time we’d gotten to, “Press one for English, press tw-,” I was already mashing my dialing wand on the “1” and moving on to the next stupid menu. Now, I have to wait for the entire speech to finish, plus that long-rear end pause at the end while they wait to make sure I’m not going to press a key.
The racists have made my customer service experiences less enjoyable.

One old Let's Read thread I did was every book in Mack Maloney's Superhawks series. He's a pulp author who started out in the 80s just doing ridiculous post-WW3 stuff, but 9/11 broke his brain really badly and he did a 4-book series about a group of really racist commandos who had a personal hatred of Muslims and could use all the methods that those darn liberals in the government were afraid to use. They basically just behaved like terrorists, like chopping the hands off of civilians who aided jihadists and videotaping them burying captured terrorists with dying pigs to scare other Muslims that they would be denied Heaven if killed by them. They were led by the world's best spy who had a personal line to the president and was endowed with the power to do anything he wanted in the name of fighting terrorists.
The first book ends with a terminally ill pilot being trained by them to hijack a charter plane being used by terrorist financiers and crashing it into a Saudi oil company skyscraper. The last book ends, I poo poo you not, with the commandos getting plastic surgery to become deep cover Muslims and try to change Islam from within to be a religion of peace.

Bump stocks make a rifle un-handlable and I think they are more dangerous than anything.
Like saying that pistolized-rifles (Such as an AR15 pistol) is somehow better without a stock. Without the stock it just becomes dangerous and unwieldy.
Note: I have a bump stock and an AR15 pistol and I love them.
The court picks haven’t done much in the way of our natural rights to be armed, and our un-natural tolerance of living under a government who loves to manage what we do.
I’m not a “Done with Trumper” but I do have to point out the elephant in the room : The man isn’t anywhere near as pro-gun as he sold himself to be. He’s not particularly dangerous to our rights, but he has - at this point this is true - Done more to further gun control than Obama did.

The fact that this judge could say this in the face of what this mueller investigation, is really the final straw for me. We've lost, in my pinion, thanks mostly to the republicans in congress.

There are certain scenarios of justice that I just give up on ever expecting to happen. I can’t spend my whole waking life in a state of anticipation. I have to walk away from the latest wreckage, still somewhat hopeful, but much more wary.

I mean WTF? Stuff like this leads me to believe the fix is in, has always been in.

The writing has been on the wall for some time. Heck, when Bush was elected in 2000 I told my friends that all we did was put off the inevitable for another four years. Trump will be gone, eventually, where will we be then?

I've been saying the same thing for years. I'm the last one in my family, and at 71, have already outlived 3 of my family members. Got to make it to 73, and then 75 to beat the other two.
