I'm not reading 300 pages of this thread so apologies if this has been posted already, but if you're into 3D Printers, AliExpress, Banggood, and the like are a god send for turning would would be a multi-thousand dollar hobby into a mere two to three hundred. This is because practically everything from the printers themselves, to the individual parts and accessories like build plates and auto bed levellers is an almost direct copy of the real deal good stuff. Here are a few examples:

This is the Prusa Mk.3 i3S. It is widely considered one of the best FDM hobbyist printers around. Completely hand built, with high quality components it gives fantastic results for the relatively low cost of $999 (fully assembled) or $750 (DIY Kit)

If you don't want to drop a cool grand to get started 3D printing then have no fear because this is the Creality Ender 3 an almost direct knockoff of the Prusa, but without all of those fancy toys like "Quality Components", "a build plate that's not warped", or "Thermal Runaway Protection". It comes only as a DIY kit, which you won't be able to complete until you 3D print a critical mounting bracket for the Z axis screw. But for only $250, it's hard to complain.

This is the BLTouch an auto bed leveling sensor for 3D printers invented, designed, developed and patented by a S.Korean University Student. Extremely accurate, small and lightweight, it's a must have for people whose printers have warped over time (it will correct the warping and ensure your print comes out properly).

But what if the $50 price tag for a BLTouch is 1/5th the price you paid for the actual printer? Well don't worry, because you can always get the 3D Touch for $18. If you get lucky, you might even get one that works!

lol I'm not about to set up an online store or anything effort-wise; here's the high-res image I used for my print uploaded to my Dropbox, should be available to download if you click the 'three dots' [...] button to get the download option:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/fbypgflmfyttzd5/lovejoydivision.zip?dl=0

I use https://www.streetshirts.co.uk/design-your-own-t-shirts to get my designs printed, and whatever process they use it's good and long-lasting. Looking at about Ł15 shipped in the UK for the 'Mens Heavyweight Tee' which is a good thickness material, the lightweight tees they have are a bit flimsy.

That do ship worldwide if you're not a Brit, but extra shipping costs - you might find a local-to-you online print shop cheaper.

Pls post a selfie wearing your new shirt if you get one made.

I have two essentially similar style printers from over the years. I was tempted on the Ender but ended up buying two Anycubic Kossel Linear Plus' - they are Delta style and look and sound amazing printing away. I've got some really good prints out of them and they are just workhorses to the point where I tore the build plate material up. Bonus is they have a self leveling module included in the box.

Then I got the Ultrabases and not more tape/glue to hold down pieces as they print. Once it cools, parts just pop off with no effort or scraping.

What made you choose the Anycubic over the Ender? At this point I've upgraded almost everything in my Ender to higher grade components (stepper motor drivers, 32-bit mainboard, bowden tube, extruder, firmware, BLTouch) and fixed every fire hazard the thing has and I've only spend an extra ~$75. The end result is an amazing printer on par with any of the professional ones for just under $350 total.

My Ender also came with a knockoff Anycubic Ultrabase, and I agree they're really good for holding everything down. At most I'll give them a light hairspray coat every now and then.

Simply because a few friends of mine have Enders and it seemed an endless game of tweaking for them. I was paid by a bloke to build his Kossels because he is dumb and wired everythign wrong on his first one. After getting it going I did some test prints and was really happy with even the stock firmware. One gotchya though is the firmware - sometimes it's corrupt and won't save Z calibrations. Marlin fixes that and its brilliant. The Ultrabase sealed it as my favourite. I trust them so much I bought two.
