I want there to be a cool reveal on something soon, but this industry is bad at keeping a lid on things. There are always leaks. So I think I am setting my expectations low for anything other than release dates, and instead putting my hopes on a soon date for ARMS. (which, even then, if it was SUPER soon, I think we'd have heard about it. :\)

It was funny about the Switch Presentation because for months we had these Twitter jerks "leaking" poo poo like Breath of the Wild not making launch or Splatoon Remastered existing but the real leaks came from some dude who just happened to be setting the demo stations up at the event and said jerks fell over themselves to say this dude was making it all up and welp

And I don't think the overlap for M-rated 2D fighting games and sci-fi shooters compared to all-ages Nintendo fighter is that great. It's not like they're pitting ARMS against Red Dead Redemption 2 or something that's going to sell a billion copies either.

Yay, I just go my left Joy-Con back from Nintendo and it looks like they didn't actually do anything. The letter in the box listed the fault as an 'Operating system problem' and I very quick test in the analogue stick calibration screen looks like I'm still having connection problems.

So Nintendo is spacing the releases out in roughly 2 month intervals then? Zelda - 3rd March Mario Kart - 28th April ARMS - 23rd June Splatoon 2 - 18th August Mario Odyssey - ~October That means they have all their primary releases out before the Holiday period. Add to the already impressive 3rd party catalogue, and I think it's safe to say that Nintendo are going to absolutely destroy the charts on the back of early adopter gamers hyping the gently caress out of this thing.

I'm glad they're taking time on Splatoon. The testfire felt pretty early. Not a huge deal but it would be nice if they could bump the TV resolution to 1080p. It looks almost like the Wii U one so hopefully. SeANMcBAY fucked around with this message at 19:48 on Apr 12, 2017 |

You can go all sneaky-ninja or all smashy barbarian, you can use Runes a lot for a variety of things, change equipment frequently or not, rely on rods or bows vs swords, ride, walk, or warp - even skip most of the story and sidequests and hardmode right to the boss. It's really very open to different playstyles.

That stealth mission was piss easy to me but that's maybe because I play stealthily a lot already and I have a 150 hours in MGSV (the next best open world game after BOTW).
