I remember a while ago someone posted about how close they've spawned to the boss room. Here's a map where I spawned one room to the boss room. It was also a double The Cage, which really sucked as I already had a boss fight with The Cage. I really like Infestation 2. I had something happen the other night where I picked it up at the start of the Boss Rush. When I killed one of those first two monsters, pretty sure it was Gurdy Jr, like twenty blue spiders popped out. Don't know if it was a glitch; normally I only see two spiders spawn per monster "segment"; but between the absurd damage I was already running and the army of spiders following me I cleared the rest of the game remarkably fast.

Not played this in a while and decided to go and try and unlock The Lost. Doing my Judas run with seed YR8E YXDV to die to mom, now, the question is, when I play as Azazel I have to die to Satan and if I die to anything else BEFORE Satan do I have to do the WHOLE thing over? If you'e gunning for Meat Boy / Bandage Girl, definitely do that before the expansion, because your chances to setup a working generator with Monster Manual will drop like a loving rock with 500+ items in the pool.

It's not a wonderful upgrade either, he starts with spectral tears and the D4. Useful for garbage starts, but why would you bother playing a trash Lost start when you can scrap the poo poo out of it and reroll for something good. At least spectral tears makes a Death's Touch start a bit more potent.

It's much worse for The Lost than any other character. Anyone else starting with it would be cool, but for The Lost you're just asking to get Soy Milk or a bunch of useless health upgrades. There are a lot of things that are actively detrimental to The Lost in ways that aren't to other characters as well. For example: Ipecac. The Lost has a much higher risk factor with rerolling and no additional benefits. you can make a lot of lovely rerolls work for other characters as well, but with The Lost it's a matter of dying in one hit and thus even small downgrades can be very bad

I understand why they don't give the lost the d6 as it would just be then flying unfun shittily designed isaac. What they should have done is give the lost an item like I dunno Lost Soul which removes all plain HP ups (breakfast luch a snack etc) from the item pools.

I always liked the idea of giving him the D20, frankly. Rolling useless red hearts in to chests and consumables seems so much more useful than D4ing a run without basically handing you a high damage brimstone every run. Just give him Holy Mantle and the D20 to start if you're going to make him easier without actually getting rid of the spirit of the challenge.

I feel like such an idiot. (ps4) I beat mega satan on my first try on hard (pure luck with Azazeal) but unlocking The Lost? Hah. I have no idea what I'm screwing up. So I should just wait 'til Afterbirth or will unlocking him be the same process?
