I've resorted to lovely answers like "heavy metal" or "I'm a pretty big metalhead" and just try to leave it at that very rarely have they ever replied with anything that I'd like to continue that conversation about one guy got my hopes up one time "Oh yeah like cannibal corpse?" Artificial Brain's debut is still my favorite release of the year (though Dead Congregation is close). My favorite awkward moments with non-metal people phenomenon is when people at work are like "oh so you doing anything fun this weekend" and I'm like "yeah I'm going to a concert." This inevitably prompts "oh who are you going to see" at which point my options are either telling some older woman that I'm going to see Skeletonwitch or some poo poo, or being a hipster douche who says "oh nobody you would know."
