One of my mates ordered one on the 11.11 sale that just started. He seems to know his poo poo and would have researched a LOT beforehand.

I've recommended Ilife several times in this thread. I've had the V7 Pro (I think, it had a name similar to the current one but is a generation or two older), V5s Pro and W400. They are very good for the price.

Most of them both vacuum and mop. They do a decent job, but are not as fancy as the Roombas. Their smart technology is not good enough yet, so don't get the A models or the V9 model (they have that). The others are fine, especially for sub-$100.

Dust bin size and battery are fine for normal use; I can vacuum one floor easily on a charge and empty the dust bin afterwards. I could probably do it less but this works for me. The W400 is "smart," and does a really great job at washing floors, but needs some babysitting to cover everything; I like the dumb random-walk ones better. I don't get them stuck, but don't have loose wires on the floor or carpets so YMMV.

I'm not afraid to plug them in; they come with CE marking in Europe, and they ship out of Europe (Spain), so I at least largely trust that it is not just something magic markered on by the 12-years-old that made it.

I live in Spain, I would afraid to plug in something that was manufactured here. Just kidding. We actually have a lot of factories doing assembly for German companies, from what I see around Catalunya.

Are you sure it's the actual CE and not the fake China Export CE marking?

I'll have to double-check, but that's why I mentioned they ship out of Europe: they are big enough I would expect them to get turbo-hosed if they try to import them in bulk with fake or "clever" markings.

Phone makers don't make it very easy. Mine is dying and the cost just to replace the battery is more than it costs to buy a new phone with the same specs.

I've had my phone for over two years. A new one would only be 10 Euro a month, buy why waste all those raw materials when my "old" one works perfectly well?

Perhaps related to the thread, but I've only ever owned one model of phone that actually needed to be replaced after fewer than two years- it was a Xiaomi. I repurchased that model and the new one also croaked before its second birthday.

The last brand new phone I bought was a Nokia N97. Everything since then is second hand 'good enough' stuff.

This thread is surprisingly quiet given that it's 11/11.what's everyone getting on sale?

So far I've picked up a pair of the Bluetooth headsets recommended earlier, and an auto leveler for my 3d printer.

I've bought these grinding disks made by Hilda.
HILDA 25pcs Fiberglass Reinforced Cut Off Wheel Disc w/ 2 Mandrel 1/8" Fit for Dremel Tool rotary tool dremel style
Used them last year when fixing my car, and they worked as well as the original ones. Also have a few other accessories made by them, and they've worked well.

Also  the Finnish postal workers are on strike, and that means any packet coming from abroad is not going anywhere until it's over. Internal mail is already expected to be late by weeks.. Guess I won't be seeing my 11.11 sale orders until next year!

I'd get a protective screen and case for an Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7, the 2012 model. But every listing seems to be for 2015 or newer. In theory I can just buy a new tablet, but I'm determined to root this one!

I didn't bother taking a look this year, but I'm going to hazard a guess that it is like last year and all the sale prices are the same as the regular prices from a week ago.

Still better than Amazon Prime day, though.

theyre better than that, but they're largely in line with the best prices over 6 months. very little is "omg!" or worth spending hours on the site.

i got my drone for $61 shipped. there are stupider ways to spend $60. pretty sure it could be had for about $62 shipped within the past 6 months, but not the past 3.

the knife i wanted is apparently available for a similar price on amazon because it's a real seller i guess that's pretty popular.

The Anycubic Photon 3d printer I bought in September was cheaper then than it's now, by like $50. Most other stuff in my cart is a few dozen cents down compared to a week ago. The drone I want to buy is on an unrelated sale until the 18th :iiam:

Isn’t there plenty of time to get presents if you ship with epacket?

Ha Ha Ha... YES!
so far i've not had anything take more than 6 weeks. i guess there were some coupons i missed out on yesterday but my hunch is they would have superceded some of the ali coupons, like $6 off 65 probably would have been replaced with $7 off $50.

They don't work today even though the sale is still on. drat you, could have had my drone incrementally cheaper!

Probably but there's always the risk of something not showing up or showing up and being horrifically terrible looking and I scramble for a replacement.

Oh, boy, this happened to me last year. Unfortunately, I don't have the pictures anymore, but what I thought were nice brogues with a cool pattern of gradient earth-toned squares turned out to be a pair of vaguely brogue-style shoes made of my dead grandmother's flowered brocade couch, as far as I can tell.

I got a refund, by the way, and donated them to my preschool's dressup box, where they became known as "the bruja shoes."
