Is there a band whose style is similar to "classical" Thrash Metal sound? Think Slayer's South of Heaven or Metallica's Master of Puppet or Anthrax's Among the Living. I'm asking because even these bands seem to have given up on that "sound." Nowadays everything is super heavy in Drop D or even Drop C. Also everything is kind of Death Metal these days (point in case, latest Sepultura). I miss the good all 80's Thrash Metal.

Is there a "current" band with that sort of style?

There was a big '80s thrash revival around 2006-2007, and it's still kind of alive, but most of the bands besides Funerot sucked. Unless you need to go to shows, just stick to the bands that were actually making music in the '80s; there's guaranteed to be at least a hundred great bands you never heard of. Here's one.

There's a shitload of bands that play like that thanks to the thrash revival Misogynist mentioned. Search "new wave of thrash metal" on spotify and there's quite a few playlists on there that people have made with a wide variety of modern bands. Take some time and hear what you like.

The reason I'm not really into most modern thrash bands is that they're B-rate Exodus or Dark Angel clones, they're single-mindedly thrashing 100% of the time and aren't the most captivating at doing just that. There are some interesting newer bands though, once you get through all the pizza thrash and other crap. Give a listen through the catalogs of some record labels such as Unspeakable Axe (thrash/death), Heavy Artillery(thrash/heavy), and Stormspell (heavy/power/speed/thrash).

With that said, here's some stuff you might like:

http://unspeakableaxerecords.bandcamp.com/album/feed-the-ego
Algebra mixes some aggressive thrash metal with melodic heavy metal stuff similar to Metallica - here's a softer song from their album below:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REDHDsYRzFM

https://infiltrator.bandcamp.com/
Infiltrator is killer a speed/thrash band. There's some killer dual leads and aggressive stuff sorta like like Destruction and Sodom circa 84-85, and a Bathory cover.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9y4eMq-piXw

Since everyone loves Vektor, give this Vektor clone a listen.

The EP is very good, but the songs sound a bit sharper and the vocals a lot more pronounced on the album. I still listen to both, I think I like the album a bit more.

Yeah I don't care for their review scores but they overrate everything so much (I rarely see anything with an average under 70%) that 6 0% scores means you're dealing with a turd of oceanic magnitude.

At least they've got a good voice this time and it's not about crazy carnivals or Disney cartoons but still ehhh. They used to (like 10 years ago) have good transitions between the riffs and strings. Now it's like they can't decide which phase of Nightwish they want to sound like. And they crank up the guitar til it's overpowering everything when it's playing. In my world they released Once and Marco just did Tarot from then on.
