The Owens-Thomas House in Savannah is a good place to tour. They talk about how the longest owner of the house was a member of the House of Representatives and also a plantation baron who supported the Indian Removal Act purely because it would open up more land for slaves. They have signage in their public visitor center explaining the use of terminology like "enslaved people" and emphasizing that the plantations were forced labor camps. They also cover some of the more nuanced aspects of it, like the cognitive dissonance of treating indoor slaves as trusted and loved members of the family while still enslaving them against their will.
