I have a “stock pillow” or “stockpil” now. My old modpil was just a cotton quilted down alternative that had a integrated flux capacitor and positron accelerator system for cooling and time travel but it went into a state of quantum instability and slipped into a parallel universe. Guess you get what you pay for

Just a quick tip for those getting stuff from Ali with 'Cainiao Super Economy Global' as the shipping. This is Ali-expresses own competitor to China mail etc. 17Track doesn't automatically understand it, but choose 'Aliexpress Shipping' as the tracker, then good to go.

I just bought a Yi brand dashcam. So far: two thoughts: Firstly, it is a quality product - the packaging is slick and the app is available from the Play store and actually seems to work. Secondly, why the hell did I buy a dashcam when I am currently spending less then 10mins in the car per week?

I chopped up one of those egg-crate mattress pads (using scissors!) into <1" pieces, filled a zippered pillow-cover with them, and have a fluffable pillow that I'm not allergic to. Washable, but not machine-dryable, sorry.

For the guy who asked about pillows, go to sleeplikethedead.com. It will solve all questions you have and get you a great pillow for cheap. My latex pillow from overstock is great (and only cost like 40 bucks). I say this after spending way too much on pillows over the last few decades.

I had the perfect 4 lb memory foam pillow from Bed Bath and Beyond that I used for a decade. I got rid of it and thought that I would just get another one. BBB didn't stock it anymore and I couldnt find it anywhere. I spent several hundred dollars cycling through other foam pillows, both memory and latex, before settling on a buckwheat pillow.

I usually like an old rear end flat feather pillow that I can squish into whatever shape I need. Someone gave me some new fancy pillows and I can’t get used to them. I seriously might try a purple pillow though especially once summer comes
