also, stalker clear sky with tfw mod and additional weapons mod is the best singleplayer fps atm imo no retarded story, just a dude and a lot of guns and a companion or two vs. the zone

Quake 1 is one of the only single player FPSes I enjoyed playing through though I would not recommend the mission packs unless you want to see a huge 1996 video game tapestry of Poseidon in one of the levels.

Oh yeah the singleplayer's good too. I liked Quake 2 as well. Doom is probably still the best singleplayer FPS experience overall though.

Hell, with mods, Doom multiplayer is pretty good too, though there's no cool movement tech like Quake since you can't jump.

If they just go for it with the modes they've been edging on in CoD where everyone has equal loadouts and poo poo, CoD would be about as close as it gets to the Other Decent FPS.

i would love CoD if 1. everyone had a lot more HP so it wasnt just a game of who started shooting first 2. there was more than 1-2 good maps a game id also love if there were health packs and such instead of loving regenerating health but that will never ever go away now

In BF4 you run around blowing poo poo up and mowing guys down and it's like being in a loving awesome action movie loving poo poo up with a squad full of your buddies. But you don't have to run around looking for med packs every 10 seconds so it's poo poo, FPS games are dead.

BF4's single player is actually some pretty dumb fun but BC1 is probably the best theyve ever done SP. didnt take itself seriously, open map design allowed for a lot of different ways to tackle every situation, tank boss fights. then BC2 came out and it was just loving call of duty

i don't like stuff like call of duty not because of the bland guns, but because it is actually a game of who shot first in a bland setting which is awful. using a fun gun like a flamethrower is an automatic SHOOT HERE TO GET KILL too
