Still need to find a remote. And yeah, i bought this for weedjob before i found out that they were going to give me a laptop. it's awful. i hate this computer so much. the battery lasts like an hour and a half and its a 9 cell. meanwhile my x201 has loving 750 cycles on the 9cell and still runs seven hours of browsing or 4 hours of full cpu crank.

I have an old old T410i that's literally been on fire and kept on trucking for a further 2 years before the CPU fan gave out and now it BSOD's on boot. Also the power jack is only theoretically attached anymore. I'm tempted to throw a new main board and fan at it and keep the thing, I'm quite attached to the stupid thing and it's only like £20 of parts.

i have an x201 that i most certainly overpaid for when i bought it from the 2nd hand compute shoppe it's running a loving ancient M540 i5 at 2.53 ghz with 4gb ddr3 it's got fan problems, overheats when plugged into the powersupply, uncertain battery life, and some little plastic tab in the battery area is broken so if I move it too much on the table the battery comes out and the whole thing shuts down i am desperate to keep it alive and in my life

I really like this thing. bout to buy a new battery. I know it'll take at least 6gb of ram, i should buy a 4gb stick to max it at 8

yep i got one of those $29 microcenter 120gb's in this thing and it's perfectly fine for browsing / slack / spotify whatever. just doing that one swap from platter to SSD gave me an extra hour (at least) on this old lovely 9 cell with almost 800 cycles, too
