I saw a car with an 'I ♥ butt drugs' bumper sticker and I was like :hmmyes: and then they suddenly stopped in the middle of a busy street and backed up like a 100 feet so they could make the turn they missed. It was then I realized the sticker might not have been a joke.

And because the body already can recognize Covid, Pfizer as a booster teaches the immune system to react faster with a somewhat wider ability to see the infection or something like that that's where it starts going sailing over my head.

I read a little, turned on the rain sounds, and tried to get back to sleep, but eventually gave up about 5 and played Cyberpunk until I had to get ready for work. Going to be a lackluster day, today. Oof.

Logged into the IOP now via Zoom (they're getting used to seeing my bedfro at this point), but we're nearly an hour in, and still going through "check ins". :sigh: And of course I didn't charge my phone (it's down to 40% right now - charging, but slowly), so if the power goes out again, I might get an hour out of it between the camera and display being on (it's starting to storm again, lost power last night for a bit during last night's storm).

So our house doesn't have a screen door on the back door, something my wife wanted to get so we can have cross house ventilation and use the AC less. I saw this thing on Tik Tok, did some review rating and picked it up on Tuesday. It's a retractable screen door by Anderson. $200 out the door and 15 minutes to install.

I love it! There is a tiny gap at the top so I'll pick up some trim and nail that in later this weekend. But it looks good and and the wife is gonna be thrilled!

And then I hardwired my RING doorbell!

We have a storm door that you can swap the glass for a screen on the front door, but I should get one of those retractables for the back door. Can't really put a standard screen door back there due to pupper flap.

Stockholm Syndrome is a thing, truly.
Even if the company itself is poo poo, I always feel like I'm letting someone down, usually the one or two actually good people who are staying. That's their decision, not mine., but even so, we humans tend to want to help one another...

I'm super passive-aggressive, and a little bit a lot of social anxiety. I hate confrontation, so changing jobs is terrifying. More the interviewing and trying to sell oneself than anything else, and second-guessing the decision. What if the new company is *worse*? :ohdear:
Right up until I get frustrated and angry enough to react completely disproportionate to the "last straw" event... Ask me about the $70k job I lost because I completely lost my cool and yelled at a user in front of their boss and other users, while working for an Indian outsourcer. That's a huge no-no. The condenser is underneath the cab at an angle, almost horizontal. It completely depends on *what* HiAce though, as if it has an L series or a KZ in it determines the exact layout. The changeover from R12 to R134 was in 1993, which changes exactly what ports you'd be looking for. R12 is screw-on schrader-like valves where as R134 is the clip-on types that are still common today.

Here is where they are on a 1993 KZ Hiace with an R134 system:

Didn't touch any furniture yet (though the bed and frame in there are going somewhere, not sure yet), but of the ~20 boxes I went through.... 18 went to the dumpster. I'm sorting into 3 piles - trash (huge pile in the corner, filled 18 boxes of various sizes, and there's still a good chunk left), "I might wanna keep this, I need to look at it for more than 2 seconds", and "definitely keeping". The definitely keeping pile is so far just one small box (12x12x12"), the "might" box is a bit bigger.

Going to check out the thrift shops for bookcases or shelving units for the extra poo poo that's going into the garage. I am NOT piling boxes in there or putting anything on the floor, full stop (#1, it tends to get wet in there during heavy rain... #2, rodents). The only things going into the garage will be car and/or tool related.

I just need to figure out who will take a lightly used mattress, instead of paying the county to take it off my hands. I only used it for 6 months, I hate to throw it out. The frame is brand new in the box (Wayfair sent 2 for some reason).

I'm doing this right now as well in prep for a move, and it's cathartic. Sorting all the stuff I want gone now, gonna have a junk guy roll up an open top and take the busted ikea couch and my 10 year old mattress and just buy new for both in the new place.
