If you liked Tusk there's an obscure body horror film called "The Human Centipede" you'll also like.

Body horror is even cheaper and less valuable a theme for horror films than jump scares. It's the movie equivalent of sticking your hand into a covered bowl of spaghetti on halloween

I haven't seen Tusk but I heard the Smodcast episode where they first read the news story that inspired it and brainstormed the basis of the film It's a good episode and a must listen if you actually like the movie. https://m.soundcloud.com/smodcast/smodcast-259-the-walrus-and

I saw it because I was looking for a place at the time, and read it as a satire on how difficult it was to find a place in Brighton and sort of smirked maybe. That was written by someone from Brighton?!!!?! Living just down the road from there and knowing the place quite well that actually makes perfect sense...

I liked Clerks and what not but his newer films aren't really my thing. I can't really fault him however because he funds everything out of his own pocket now so he can do whatever he wants for all I care.

A thinly-plotted mess that sacrifices story for cheap visual shocks, albeit one that takes itself with a refreshing lack of seriousness. I give this film a solid *faaaaaaaart*

He's lost his empathy for other people and insists that he's really doing everyone a favor acting the way he is. He learns differently. Which would be rad if someone else made it, but in this case, it's clearly Kevin Smith's morality play aimed at people who pick on Kevin Smith.
