I really think that people just didn't like it because it was a meaningful criticism of our contemporary culture, in a way no other film has successfully managed. It really well breaks apart the "15 minutes of fame" myth, and the notion of the desirability of being known "no matter what".

The only places the film falters are where it lacks faith in its own quality. If it had entirely committed and left out any bits that were tongue-in-cheek, it would be remembered as a top-tier horror classic. It actually successfully introduces and communicates new fears.

Lots of exceptional acting as well, and no one acts stupid for stupid's sake. That's part of what makes it genuinely scary, is that you know you could not have done any better in the same situation.

Nothing in Jurassic World is natural, we have always filled gaps in the genome with the DNA of other animals. And if the genetic code was pure, many of them would look quite different. But you didn't ask for reality, you asked for more teeth.

I haven't seen it but movies with this message have been done forever and it's such a banal topic to target currently I don't even know what the point is. Everyone complains about millenials and self absorbed youtube idiots
