There have been a ton of these over the years. Damned near every single year it seems sometimes. If you're thinking recently you're probably thinking Darwin Thompson.

Skyy's a little different because he's a second round guy who was relatively well thought of instead of some 6th round or UDFA guy. I mean also he's a WR of course, but since you brought RB up man do Chiefs fans love falling in love with running backs in the preseason.

e: at this rate honestly you could also be thinking Clyde Edwards-Helaire but they're invested in him so he gets to play.

e: I know it would be silly and never happen, but I want to build a team that has the best players on defense at basically every position at the expense of the offense with a kicker like that. Fair catch any punt that lands in a kickable range and take the free kick right after. The general goal for the team would be to go on defense first, get a touchback, three and out, fair catch, fck, repeat. the offense doesn't need to be high scoring or even good - just be able to get a first down here and there while not turning the ball over. they'll basically never be on the field if you do it right.
