Thanks for your feedback! Current plans, based on this info and responses so far here and elsewhere: 1. I need to see if an entire train of coal car, tanker car, coal car, barrel car, tanker car, coal car, Headset car is possible. That day is likely to be either really easy or completely nightmarish to edit. 2. DV Aftershock plans: 4 trucks, with 4 safes in each, for a total of 16 safes. This will make safe travels (pun, lol) relatively straightforward. I might bump this up to 20, but it'd still be lower than my original plan of 6 trucks with 6 safes each. 3. You've indicated that SWAT van turrets are most enjoyable and work best as a thing for people to enjoy, rather than hanging out waiting for it to repair and grind off its HP. On Mayhem and up in the normal game, explosives have a 7x damage multiplier against both the shield and turret at all times. The turret has 400,000 HP (and a massive damage multiplier), and its shield has 7000 HP. A single attack cannot damage the shield by more than 3500 damage and the turret by more than 42000 damage. Messiness with explosive damage and order of operations means it's still possible to take off the shield with a single arbiter round. It takes 8 seconds to reload and 30 seconds to repair. Turrets on MH and up can fire for 48 seconds before needing to reload, with lower difficulty turrets able to fire for 24 seconds. Death Vox SWAT Van Turrets (tentative) Death Vox SWAT Van Turrets cannot be destroyed. They will repair themselves an indefinite number of times. The shield will have about 6000 health. The explosive damage multiplier will be further reduced to 3x, making it less possible to annihilate the shield with a single explosion, but still making explosives preferable for making turrets retract. At present, I am planning that reload time will not change, and repair time might shrink a bit, to maybe 25 seconds. ECMs will still work on turrets. I would probably set Turret ammo at 24 seconds, the overkill and below firing capacity. Helicopter and ceiling turrets will not be effected by these changes (I am planning to increase the health of some ceiling turrets). In general, Turrets will be much, much more common on Death Vox. What do folks think of these changes? Discendo Vox fucked around with this message at 06:36 on Nov 25, 2017 |

Of the "new ones" for console I still haven't ran green bridge, panic room or scarface yet. There might be one more. We got those plus prison, heat street, yacht and brooklyn. I'm sure there is something I'm missing about it but Yacht has not clicked with me. The music for it is kinda cool I guess. I tried it a few times and I get that the computer thing shows where the bags are but I haven't played enough to know all the areas. The update also gave us the chainsaw and the Russian machete thing. Other than guys running around with electric knuckles or the poison shank the Russian machete appears to be a flat out better choice than all other melee weapons. The chainsaw is cool and fun. swims fucked around with this message at 16:16 on Nov 25, 2017 |

Meltdown swat turrets assuming they blocked entrances and didn't move would be impossible. Dogs 1 turret can and has wiped out crews. If the turret on slaughterhouse shows up before enough bags are moved that one is brutal also. If you're making a boss turret just be nice and make it frames 2. Technically I would suggest a pure boss turret should be regular bank.

Discendo Vox posted:Another thread poll: what are the most annoying swat van turrets to deal with in the game? Put differently, which ones would be a huge problem/annoyance if they were unkillable? 1) Heat Street. Since you're required to not just walk past it (possibly repeatedly) but to do so slowly while escorting Matt, it's amazingly frustrating. Doubly so, as Mas said, with the one partway up the hill since you combine that with even less cover and it has a firing angle on the escape zone. 2) Slaughterhouse. Being required to haul heavy gold bags past it at point-blank with almost zero cover. Worse, since the area's also under sniper overwatch. 3) Biker Heist day 1 can be a real pain in the rear end. Depending on where the truck spawns and what parts you have to get, it can be almost mandatory to destroy. If it isn't, it's still frustrating. A few others are really annoying depending on factors (Birth of Sky depending on the manhole/last pallet locations; HoxVenge if you've got a heli pickup on the garage roof), but those three are the ones where an unkillable turret would be likely to wipe a team.

OK, this is all really useful to know, thanks for responding! To be clear, changes to turrets will be one of the last things we implement, along with changes to heists- and the two will have to go hand in hand to some extent because of precisely the problems y'all mention. Right now we're just trying to figure out a heist we can edit as a test of heist editing generally. I'm not the sort of person to send out five bazillion changes that ruin gameplay without testing the poo poo out of things first.

When you say unkillable, we are still talking about infinitely repairing and not literally invincible, right? In that case it's pretty much any turret that the players need to be within range of for an extended duration and with minimal cover/excessive cop pushback. So the Slaughterhouse one and stuff like Trustee Bank's twins would be largely fine because you could knock them out during the bag haul and then push onward, but the Biker and Heat Street ones would be hell. Not sure how to feel about Goat Sim Day 2. Were you planning on looking at turrets' anti-armor spell?

So I just knocked out reputation beyond reproach with 3 random pubs and we all saw and killed about 20 cops each, tops. I was the host. Brought c4 and first aid kits and shat them out wherever I walked. Enemies presence seemed extremely lax. Did I get really lucky or did spawn rates change across the board? Or are cops that allergic to c4?

Probably a shield would be two rockets, or several GL rounds.

Just rename this Payday 2: Console thread and it will actually already be updated and future proof for months to come. So after running anarchist frenzy berserker for months I've been toying with exact build and mixed in sicario instead since it is new. Suit @ 75. I'm getting beat up pretty good but at times it feels legit. The smoke bomb is super cool and I kinda get the mechanic of it. Nothing else to really add to that. I just soloed a dogs with it (4 bags only, DW) so that is something I guess. I did get the grom iron sight attachment which is also cool. The "new" smgs both appear to be lame.
