My gym moved the only decent rack in front of a mirror. Now the only mirrorless option is the lovely corner rack with no space for jerks.

people at my gym put the hooks on the rear 2 posts of a power rack and squat facing the rest of the gym. i'd find that way too awkward myself, like looking at someone in the eye when your sucking their dick.

Going on vacation with no gyms available until next wed. I've been really good about working out and eating right the last few months so this isn't ideal. I decided against bringing my food scale and now I think I should have. hemale in pain posted:i'd find that way too awkward myself, like looking at someone in the eye when your sucking their dick. Our gym has 8 squat racks, each one facing its opposite rack. It can be a little awkward.

Front squatted 210x5 today. Totally gonna get that 225lb when I cycle through to doubles. Hell yeah.

After a solid winter bulk, I cut from 232lbs on March 1 to 178lbs on November 1 in anticipation of a beach vacation next week. Along the way I learned that by abs, which I had never really been lean enough to see in detail, are asymmetrical as gently caress.

Anyone have recommendations for a three day a week split focused on hypertrophy, hopefully incorporating the big lifts? I only have a squat rack with dip station and pull up bar, adjustable bench, barbell, plenty of plates, and dumbbells. No machines.

Barbell Medicine sells that exact program. I ran it a few times. It was cool.

Monday - Barbell OHP, Dumbbell Press, Simple and Sinister, KB Clean+Press Tuesday - Squats, Simple and Sinister, Extra Getups Thursday - Barbell Benchpress, Dumbbell Bench Press, Chinups, Simple and Sinister, KB Snatches Friday - Barbell Deadlifts, Simple and Sinister, Extra Swings (Shoot for an extra 100) If you want to reduce to 3 day, just add deadlifts at the end of squat day?

I only have a squat rack with dip station and pull up bar, adjustable bench, barbell, plenty of plates, and dumbbells. No machines. Dunno if it counts (or if I already posted it here) but I have 3 split workouts I usually do during the week: Chest/Biceps Back/Triceps Legs/Shoulders (including deadlifts post-leg sets) Core on all days (weighted crunch, incline sit-ups, hanging knee raise, standing side bends, low back extension) I change it up once in a while but my goal was to try to not hit muscle groups that might interfere or weaken others during a lift (e.g. burning out triceps making bench weaker, biceps/forearms killing my grip on heavy back days). I switch out sets & weights like every 12-16 weeks or so to prevent plateauing & keep things interesting. Right now I'm doing a 10x7x4 routine with a bump in weight between each set & a final set with the first set's weight for 6-8 "burn out" reps at the end. Completely destroys me but goddamn it feels amazing & so far I've trimmed down a lot, was around 242 at my heaviest back in May & down to 221 right now. Still trying to balance out the diet a bit so I can trim down a bit more & still keep my strength gains but I'm liking the progress so far.

It is extremely easy to just approach everyone at a 45-90° angle though, dont give people the chance to peep your contralateral abs.

dropped a plate on my toe this morning and it’s super busted. no more squatting or deadlifting for 6 weeks. time to exit the basement and do leg extensions somewhere.

Why can't you squat or deadlift? I dropped a plate on my toe too several weeks ago, if it's just your toe you should still be fine.

If you really don't want to squat for over a month, then feel free obviously. I was just saying it's not as bad as you'd think. When I busted mine merely walking around at work was way worse than squatting. Also depends on how much the foot itself is affected.
