Pretty much no reputable zoo is going to have that unnatural of an enclosure anymore, and those privately-own exhibits tend to be way more casual than they should be about all aspects of care and interaction since they're kind of evolved from the circus side of animal captivity rather than the zoology side. E-ink has long refresh times and hasn't been really produced in large sizes. A reflective or transflective LCD could work. I don't know if bigger ones are available, though.
