I just remembered how the weapon degradation in DS1 and 2 was inextricably tied to frame rate so when the 60fps versions got released weapons degraded twice as fast and it wasn’t patchable

you can offer to help other people fight their boss in this game, which is cool and good, but because having 1 or more human cooperators trivializes a great deal of the challenge, the boss gets more health when you summon a cooperator joining as a coop dude is free, you can do it as often as you like. when you go back to your world you're right where you left off, nothing lost if you died if you do die, the boss keeps its ~double sized health bar there's no rule against practicing against bosses this way, even while getting a pretty good buzz on

Elden Ring sets unrealistic relationship standards that if you beat up her mom and give her a nice ring while she sits on a bloody throne made of a dead emissary of god, a girl will agree to marry you. On the other, other, other hand she doesn't care what you look like only that you're loyal to her.

It breaks up the monotony of dodge rolling and makes every battle an exciting contest of reflexes and stamina.

I feel like Elden Ring punishes you for relying on just rolling or just blocking. Side rolling especially. The back step seems to be the most reliable way of not getting hit.
