Buck Angel loving hell.

Has anyone listened to this yet? I'm intrigued. I know Joe caught a lot of poo poo for saying MtF shouldn't be able to fight competitively against women without disclosing, and I agree with him. Did it come up? I have a road trip coming up, I need to fill up on podcasts before I drive out to the LA podfest.

Starting it up now.

Still doing the advertisements, worst case scenario would be Buck sitting idle while Joe just gets up on his soapbox about Fox Fallon for the 50th loving time.

2 hours in and it's all been railroaded into Fox Fallon and some bullshit about PZ Myers being a creepy goon, apart from a little bit about Buck discussing the sex change process 2 decades ago.

Got Joe using 'cis-gendered' freely which is loving hilarious in and of itself.

Buck Angel is sitting there, giggling like an idiot while Joe unironnically uses the term "white knight" to describe men who think that women should be treated like humans for the 90th episode in a row V:shobon:V

The Fallon Fox discussion was actually pretty good and levelheaded. And getting a meathead like Joe using the cis pronoun is pretty hilarious

Once Joe stops bringing it up, sure. But for real I think you just need a good gorilla-loving by a real man.

I really liked the Buck Angel episode. I thought he was a really intelligent guy and nothing like those people who Joe calls "progressives". I really enjoyed the conversation between Buck and Joe. They are very like minded people so there wasn't really that much disagreeing on the topics they discussed but still I found it interesting. I also didn't miss Redban for a second. I actually was kinda glad he wasn't there pretending to be more retarded than he is.

I didn't like it really.

You've got this person with a crazy life story, the most famous person in the world for bearded man with a vagina pornography and there's this short discussion on the early days of female-to-male sex change and growing up transgender and porn and then maybe 2/3rds of the podcast is Joe on his soapbox about this loving Fallon Fox thing that has already been talked about to death and then some other bullshit about an internet slap fight over a blog about fedora atheism and pictures of octopuses.

It's always more interesting and informative when it's not an angry person yelling and playing for points. The whole Fallon Fox thing needs to stop already though. She's loving terrible at fighting and it's way too emotionally charged at this point and everyone's in their camps already.

I still like Rogan's podcast, but only listen occasionally. It depends entirely on the guest. I used to listen to drat near every one. But, 90% of the podcasts that I listen to I learned about via Rogan's. I think people just like to bandwagon and hate on him.

Yeah, if it wasn't for Rogan I wouldn't have found David Choe's podcast, which is my favourite poo poo out there right now.

I've been listening to Ari Shaffir's podcast quite a bit lately; his guests aren't big names usually, but they're usually really interesting people. I really enjoyed the most recent one with the comic who is bipolar and one from last month with the atheist highschool girl who went to court over having a prayer mural removed from her school.

Thanks for the heads up about Joey on WTF.

Also, the latest David Choe episode was only good when Joe made him look like a moron for wanting to get beat up. He (Choe) comes across like a guy who was a loser growing up and now that he has money he's able to get laid and he won't shut up about it. He tries too hard to sound cool.

I question people's contact with reality who post about this show on here. They only talked about that transgender fighter from 1:33 to ~2:10, 43 minutes out of a 3 hour show, with numerous side discussions about random poo poo like crossfit and Serena Williams rear end. And it wasn't just Joe rehashing himself but he was having a discussion with Buck about it. People are being too sensitive or something about this poo poo and their brain explodes as soon as the subject is mentioned. It was a good episode.

Also David Choe is actually pretty cool.

DVDSA is up there for me too (along with Church of What's Happening). There's a thread for that show on here with a great OP. I wish more people were discussing it.

That said,

Neither of these statements is incorrect. Choe is a great storyteller but the show is at it's best when he is incorporating Asa and the others actively in the discussion. When it's just him rambling about chips or Yoshi, I'll skip it.

...And now back to hating on Rogan...

Before we get back to Rogan hate, I'll admit that I subscribed to DVDASA after listening to him on Rogan's and have listened to exactly zero of them. I've even downloaded a few, but always end up listening to something else. I'll give it a shot this week at work.

David Choe talking about stealing a VHS porn tape and trying to watch it and jerk off in a Korean household with grandparents, parents, siblings etc around was the funniest thing I listened to in years, It wass either his JRE appearance or one of the early DVDSA podcasts.

Just got around to the Duncan and Joey #400 episode.

When they bring up Duncan's girlfriend he gets uncomfortable and starts mumbling about the Bhagavad Gita and Joey Diaz says "Oh Jesus Christ, here we go. It's loving Hindu time." Cracked me up.

It would be kinda awkward though, as they were implying she was a dumb 24-year-old who didn't know poo poo and could be easily manipulated by Duncan. Still funny though.

"How stoned are you on the scale of 1 to a billion?"

"I'm about a 6"

That got me. Had to pull over because he just said it so casually after being too stoned to say anything for like 20 minutes.

So, I'm thinking of making "it has been x shows since Joe Rogan bitched about feminism" webpage but I don't know how many shows back I'd have to listen to in order to hear one that was feminismchat free to set as a baseline.

I haven't listened to a Rogan podcast in a while, not since March probably. I just get sick of Joe talking about the same thing over and over again. So, I decide to check out the Doug Benson episode. I skip past the 20 minutes of commercial and get to the meat of the podcast.

First 5 minutes, diverticulitis.

I've listened to a dozen or so, there's a lot of running jokes I couldn't make sense of and because they're all done live with an audience there's a lot of interaction and visual stuff you don't get from the audio.
