The coalition also has two more parties in it than last time. The debate over the number of political aides and cabinet secretaries is like the debate over MP salary: inconsequential in the grand scheme of things, but having both or either be low has potential large-scale negative effects. Not having enough cabinet secretaries means the ministers drown into work and policy changes and laws aren't properly prepared; bad salary for MPs means that only independently wealthy people, or people who know how to leverage being an MP into a paycheck, run for office.

Thus he's pleading the police to look up if they've broken the law somehow. Failing that, he's threatened to escalate his case to the European Human Rights Court.
