We've done a few batches and they're pretty drat good. Not as good as the real deal, but still very very good. Uh can you give us the recipe?

https://www.pdxmonthly.com/articles/2013/10/1/make-pok-poks-famous-wings-at-home-october-2013 The only modification we've done is to add a tiny bit of cornstarch slurry (like maybe half a teaspoon, if not less) to the first batch of wings to be glazed, just to help it thicken up a bit easier. After the first batch it seems like there's enough starch left over in the wok for the rest to glaze nicely. Could be different for you, but if you notice the first round of glazing doesn't go great, that's how we fixed it. The salty fried garlic is kind of awesome to nibble at while you're cooking everything. Inspector 34 has a new favorite as of 01:21 on Feb 7, 2018 |

I'd still rather Tarp/bugnet over a bivy because I usually camp in warm weather, but they've come a long way.

Usually I'm a hammock guy, but between the lack of trees and probably needing to carry two gallons of water, <1lb pound shelter it is. Plus, that's a great point--it's a bonus body bag in case I do run out of water! I just need to paint the footbox green so I can one day be a landmark On a much more morbid note how do we not have a smilie for green boots?

One hiking trip my friend was in his bivy and rolled round enough that night that he almost suffocated himself while sleeping. He woke up in a panic and scared the poo poo out of the rest of us. Yeah bivy's are only really good if the weather is inclimate & you don't want to pack a tent.

Now that they make light 1-person single wall tents and good tarp/hammock systems, a bivy seems pointless for non big wall climbing things. The owner of the terror coffin uses a tent now btw.

Wyrmwood makes quality stuff but they're CEO is a total walking turd. Wanted to get one of their leather mats at Gencon but after having an interaction with him and seeing him yell at an employee I said gently caress that. Speaking of Kickstarter, I'm picking up Xia, a ridiculous open world space adventure board game. Want to trade and sell goods and smuggle? Be a bounty hunter or pirate and steal others' goods? Pretend you're the Serenity? All kinds of silly fun. It comes with player boards that actually show the layout of your ship so you have to be able to fit all of your equipment and goods on board, so outfitting and customizing your ship is like 90% of the appeal for me. No, but this is a reprint of the base game and expansion as well as a mini expansion. It's much more of a long experience generator than a serious strategy game. Lot's of dice rolling, though the expansion objectives go a long way to remove some of the randomness from the victory point allocation. I messed around with it on TTS and liked it enough. http://store.steampowered.com/app/468737/Tabletop_Simulator__Xia_Legends_of_a_Drift_System/
