Goddamn why can't we have awesome cars like that today. I would get that thing stuck on so many forest service roads and have fun the whole time.

At one time, not that long ago, you could order a 787B engine from Mazda Japan as a crate motor. Supply your own intake/exhaust/management etc, but the whole long motor was there. It was 6 figures, of course, but still.

It's been brought to my attention that one of the spec options on the Nissan Pao were these:

Did he mention anywhere that he got a mechanical engineer to sign off on it? It probably counts as an Individually Constructed Vehicle with the floorpan from one and the shell from another. Oh and I guess the running gear from a third. The car's great, but it must be an absolute cop magnet.

Mokes are the poo poo, I love them and want one quite a bunch. I went on last year's London to Brighton Mini run with a friend and there was a guy who'd driven over from Belgium in his, it had a material roof and that was it. I imagine it's somewhat terrifying driving it at motorway speeds being passed by everything which is also much bigger. 2 spaces are deserved, these things rule.

Parking like that in northern virginia is begging for someone to vandalize your car, though. As much space as there is in a single spot for that tiny thing, I think the risk is much greater taking up two spots.

He also was one of the few shops around ohare airport that would fix them. He got rid of all of them after he got airborn at the drag strip. He spent a lot of money on them and no matter what the car always wanted to lift the nose up under full throttle.

Being resonably across NSW engineering..... there is no way in hell it passed legally. There is three RTA based tests it would require and one of those is a full emissions test which basically nothing like that could hope to pass. There are also chassis tests which I also cant see how he could pass. In NSW its brutal enough to engineer suspension but this? I seriously doubt that car is close to legal.
