Igorrr is incredible. By every standard I should hate them/him to death but it works. There’s an insane amount of talent going on and the songwriting makes it flow well in the strangest way. Really never heard anything quite like it.

That was me. Their past 3 albums are all pretty good I think.

This crossover album is also great:

The new Morbid Angel is pretty loving great, and a massive return to form. I had somehow missed Illud when it came out and holy gently caress, what a disappointment. I'll admit "I Am Morbid" is kind of catchy and has a fun groove to it, but that's about it.

I saw him and his vocalists live a few weeks back. Strangest show i've ever been too but it was heavy/loud as gently caress and really awesome. It felt like it was over in a flash because the tracks changed things up so much constantly. The screaming guy was badass, and the chick was super weird, dancing and glitching along with the music.

This too. It's the best thing they've done in nearly 20 years (pretty sure F was like, 1998 or something). I didn't actually get around to listening to it until yesterday, so it's definitely getting some more plays over the weekend.

It’s good. They went into a different direction, more stoner rock and roll vibes. If you’re cool with that then you’ll likely enjoy it but don’t expect anything mind blowing.

FYI there are rumors(very solid ones) of them doing a fest in Chicago next year too, I hear early may. I imagine it'll be a similar style of line up to what they do at at the California Deathfest. Wonder what the acronym will be since "CDF" is already taken. IDF?

Also, flying down to San Antonio to play Winter Hell III tomorrow. Should be sick.
