Ananta tribe, so I can double dip on day one since those reset later in the day compared to the weekly reset, while queued when working through Sigma normal so I can get savage unlocked for my static later. MSQ with whatever time I have left before I go to work.

Going to run Sigmascape with my static just for the experience; we're putting off Savage until Thursday. Then MSQ, then dumping half my stuff into the glamour dresser.

We have exactly one prior case to work off of, that does not a pattern make. (I'd really rather have a Phantom Train mount than a minion though, for what it's worth).

We just finished Heavensward. Devs definitely learned their story raid lessons from ARR so I'm glad it didn't end up with a clusterfuck for new players like that. I'm still digging the game's story which is the best MMO story by a mile, but oh man I wish the writers could learn the value of any kind of brevity. Every single plot point gets dragged on with extra walking for the characters to restate what has already been said numerous times.

One data point is something you can kinda of base a hypothesis on, the only other option is it could literally be anything, which is not helpful when doing speculation about what might be.

An inn. The list:

-Sorting retainer inventories
-Combining too many stacks of Aetheryte Tickets
-Crafting generic Prisms from the stockpile
-Throwing poo poo into the wardrobe
-Putting almost all my inventory items into the saddlebags
-Turning off battle music
-Unlocking dungeons and doing the MSQ
-Unlocking Omega

Then whatever.

I'm thinking I'm taking this patch off, though. WAR is getting a lobotomy, I just rediscovered how amazing WHM is (which pisses me off that so many goddamn honest healers are WHMs, like, how do you not loving run around blowing everything up while cackling madly?!) and is so much easier to do your job than AST, and MCH is getting a revert.

On the other hand, Subnautica just came out of EA, Nine Parchments looks fun, as does Iconoclasts, and in March, FFXV and Bloodstained are coming out.

I know PLD was the big winner of the Stormblood balance changes but I think for me WHM and BRD were the winners of the 'most improved in terms of fun', with MCH getting an honorary pass because of cool new animations.

No, I didn't. After I got MNK to 70 (for theoretically train-suplexing action) I got to levelling the rest of my healers.

WAR was the job I took through MSQ. AST was the second, MCH was the third. Because hey, those were the three jobs I played in HW, right?

Do you have any idea how hard it was to keep tanks alive in Bardams as an AST? If I wasn't mainlining Benefic IIs into them, on top of all the other regen, (Except CU, because gently caress literally not having a single GCD to spare to hold CU on top of a tank long enough for the regen to apply) they weren't going to stay vertical.

I have only JUST hit level 63 on WHM, and I can tell you healing that poo poo is going to be *a loving breeze* even with undergeared and/or overpulling tanks.

In short, I am infuriated that honest healers tend to be WHMs, and WHMs that don't run around blowing poo poo up from start to finish are loving STUPID. I can't not want to drop Holy on everything.

I honestly wish I'd taken a screenshot of my WHM bars and put them side-by-side my AST bars just before logging off. Do you know how many buttons I have to juggle as an AST? And still not have nearly as much throughput or tricks to pull out of my hat?

I've got Cure II.
I've got Assize, which, let's be honest, is basically the most broken poo poo in the entire game and the embodiment of hashtag VALUE
I've got Tet.
I've got Asylum, which doesn't need me to loving hold it for a server tick like Collective Unconscious does.
I've got Thin Air which makes my mana go infinite while dropping Holy all over the goddamn place
Holy has a stun in it,
Aero III is an AoE DoT,
And if all else fails, Benediction. Which, amazingly, has yet to screw me through my frilly white culottes, despite deliberately, in some cases, trying to play the "How Low Can You Go" game.

loving honest WHMs!

I've signed out at the inn because I have a lot of glamour work to do first and foremost. I'd also really like to try Sigmascape totally fresh Tuesday night and die with everyone to the Phantom Train. :v:

I ended up at the Reach because the Royal Rumble and me having to get up very early stopped me from doing much yesterday. I have a hit list:

1) The MSQ
2) Clearing Sigma normal since raid is tonight
3) The new trial
4) Doing Sigma normal again when part of the static shows up and hasn't gotten it done for one reason or another
5) Fractal Hard
6) Glamour

Mostly I just like unlocking new stuff and I can't wait to be able to do that again.

It's probably because just like Gladiator is sword and board first thought of an RPG character for people, staff healer is basically the generic healer class so people who just want to play the game like a FF game see it as pretty rigid roles as opposed to WHM being the best Job in the game.

WHM being such a complete baller is the most pleasant surprise of the expansion for me. I am looking forward to WHMing my way through Sigma this cycle.

Also this "rigid roles white mage is healer thing" annoys me to some degree because it means these people didn't play Final Fantasies 4 or 6, where the primary white mage had dedicated "hit poo poo" buttons and where the people who started with healing magic pre-magicite were also magitek knights who were among your best true doom murder-heads, period.

Or, y'know, white mages in 1 blowing up massive undead packs with one shot of HARM.

Healers in FF have been doing The Business since the very start. People just need to pay attention to more than Aeris and also get wider gender/role/etc stereotypes from beyond FF out of their heads.

At this point, I'm more convinced that the Amdapori were the real villains in the War of the Magi, and that the Mhachi and Nymians were trying to put an end to their god-complexes and self-justifying morality before it could cause an umbral era on its own. loving White Mages running around blowing poo poo up. Black Mages want to step, but they can only destroy you or let you walk away, White Mages can heal you or harm you, but they're too busy ignoring you like the ants beneath their feet.

- Tomestone of Verity -> Creation Conversion: Mor Dhona (X:22.7 Y:6.7) [Auriana]
