i bought a really awesome laptop that came with windows 8 pro and had problems with wifi not working after a wake from sleep, the computer waking up in the middle of the night and staying running until it killed the battery or i found it and put it back to sleep, and some minor sound problems like occasional static noise or the audio device completely disappearing until i rebooted. i even factory reset it but still had all the same problems. they also followed me from 8 to 8.1 to 10. i put fedora workstation 23 on it and after several months the only problem i have is that programs crash when they try to turn on the webcam that i don't even use so i'll take that tradeoff so i guess what i'm saying is windows has become what we make fun of linux for and linux is good now
