I filled out the online "report a pothole" form, two days later there was paint around the hole, and a few days after that it was filled. Some cities actually work, I guess? Of course a few weeks later it collapsed again and they had to tear up the whole street bc it turned out the sewer had been improperly installed and there was a giant sinkhole just about ready to swallow the road but

Like the comments said, a pristine one went for 40k recently, so maybe this seller is ready to try to do a small flip. The trend page shows that you can get ones for <20k or mid 20s for a nicer one: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2000-acura-integra-type-r-7/ IMO, the last couple are flukes, not a reflection of some huge spike of nostalgia for these.

It's been about fairly exclusive mostly unmodified cars, much to the dismay of the old guard who just wanted to see real oddball barn finds. Dan Edmunds installed some aftermarket shocks on their longterm Tacoma: https://www.edmunds.com/toyota/tacoma/2016/long-term-road-test/2016-toyota-tacoma-bilstein-shock-absorber-upgrade.html Soothing as far as wrenching journals go, but it's made sweeter by the backstory -- Edmunds used to be a suspension engineer at Toyota, and begged them to put bigger shocks on the first TRD Tacoma. But they'd only spring for 36mm for the rears, a spec they kept through 20 years of TRD Tacomas. https://www.edmunds.com/toyota/tacoma/2016/long-term-road-test/2016-toyota-tacoma-making-sense-of-our-death-valley-results.html

I love it. last time it was "we're going to make a new version of the old car with retro styling like the mustang." This time they said "gently caress it, full on race car from scratch." Not that the last one wasn't an awesome car. A friend's dad in college had one along with a zo6. I got to drive the corvette but only rode in the gt. jamal fucked around with this message at 06:57 on Dec 6, 2017 |

I really love how tightly packaged the rear is around the motor and wheels. I'm sure that flying buttress has aero and stiffness benefits, but it's also to keep the car from looking that much more radical.

As a modernisation of the GT40, I prefer the new one. I think the previous one, though cool, didn't quite go far enough in either direction: My choice would be to have both the new one and an original (or one of the really good replicas). I think Ford made the right decision to turn the wick up on everything with it.

It's pretty loving ghastly. Purple steelies with fake tri-spoke knock-offs, stupid miniaturized not-Rolls-Royce headlights, random French Yellow running lights, and xzibit "yo, we heard you like aero" buttresses. The body line from the rear of the front wheel arch to the flank looks like it's either going to break in half, or that the car is a Go-Bot transformer. The front grille has an upturned frown that doesn't follow any other line on the car. It should have been horizontal, or something, and the car looks like it's the Thing, but frowning.

Yes, we know that 22-year-old, very 90s concept cars age badly. It was revolutionary at the time, even if you don’t consider the small team and short turnaround time. Every other car at the time was a mess of awful blobs and curves. This was space-age in comparison.
