How viable is it to get into T1 industry or T2 industry/invention nowadays? I have a few bill lying around and a spare character I can train and would like to make isk without ratting/mining.

I'm training up a carrier alt and think I'm going for the Minmatar line. I know Gallente carriers are the 'best', but the Thanatos is ugly.

The Minmatar pair are arguably better ratting ships, for when Delve gets safe-ish again. The Thanatos is our primary combat carrier and strikes a good balance between damage, tank, and utility. The armor Nids we use own bones too. We fit them with a bunch of omnidirectional tracking links so they chew up subcaps. The Nid is also the best looking carrier (suck it Archon fans)

Tonight on the M2- hellcamp, we killed a variety of capitals that got fed up being camped in and decided to throw themselves onto our bubbles (including a ghost minokawa that got killed for the second time), then there was nothing happening, so story time happened. Dude was asking questions about the Bob disband and it was pointed out that Haargoth fuckin Agamar was in fleet so they got a recollection of events from the literal source. 100% worth losing Eve.

If M2- could support all 35,000+ active average players of EVE in one system, everyone would get in touch with their old friends and help them get back online to continue piling in. There's so much accumulated wealth, so many lapsed players who could return to contribute after eighteen years, and so many ways to get around now that no matter how wide CCP makes the highway, the playerbase will still find a way to reach capacity+1. It's a fascinating conundrum and it's hard to say what exactly the best "solution" might be. (For the record, as a veteran of the beta tests and poo poo, 2021 EVE consistently blows my mind with how it performs. Maybe it shits itself when you have 6k people on grid, but Back In My Day even a hellcamp the size of M2-'s would've been a little rough, never mind large gangs warping in on it, but so far the server's never missed a beat even when the camp gets engaged by dozens or a hundred+ ships and there's a thousand angry nerds in local. I'm being incredibly  right now but I flew my little Kirin with a Jackdaw op and talked on mumble for the first time ever and it was great.I'm not even remotely a shy person, I just couldn't bring myself to say in fleetchat that I was that new and the FC sussed me out anyway to call me out for an isk bomb. Anyway, I enjoyed logi and I think I'll do it full time until the war ends.

I've been toying with the idea of resubbing my would be cap pilot to continue his training. He has been sitting in jita with a set of +5s. He has around 9m SP mostly in support/drone skills. Is there an easily importable cap swarm skill plan for a thanatos? What I did so far was put the fit into pyfa and copy required missing skills which puts it at 63d minimum requirements. I suspect a fully capswarm ready pilot would take at least triple the amount of time.
