The femfreq piece on war of the planet of the apes is pretty bad really. The best part is taking what is a pretty traditional pre-war ritual across many cultures and claiming it's nazi. Preparing yourself to meet your God is not nazism in the same way a chemo patient isn't secretly listening to skrewdriver. Maybe she should do something with Tariq and Deray since they have some pretty insane hot takes on the film too. The crew consciously took time to style the film after the source material and chose a look for Cesar that came close to his uniform in the old films. This happens to be a blue puffy jacket so clearly Cesar is an attack on Deray.
