I started bringing a box of tahini pistachio helva in my combat pack. A pound is like 2000 calories and it's got fuckloads of sugar in it. Two fat slices and a big gulp of water takes fifteen seconds and then I'll march another hour. It's like Turkish lembas.

I once saw a navy e-5 load a magazine into a M-16 backwards and upside down. She banged it against a rock to get it in there.

Had a Fenrik (OF-1) shoot himself in the thigh at the base I was serving my compulsory military training on. With a Glock 17. The safety is on the trigger, meaning the only way to make it accidentally discharge like that was if he holstered the gun with his finger on the trigger.

I think the minimum score is like 35 for the army. In basic we had 6 score around the high 20s, and one was so low that our drill sergeant smoked him when he saw it, and he refused to tell us what it was.

Well, in mediocre defence of the ASVAB all these guys were loving idiots. One nearly shot a drill sergeant, the other crashed one tank into another, and any that made it through have been kicked out or are in prison. Oh, except for one, he got a DUI recently but was somehow allowed to reenlist. Edit: Woah, how is your GT score so high and your line scores suck rear end?
