Nah, he'd just turn up with a smile and an invitation to come for a ride. Then brush his jacket aside to make sure you could see the NES Zapper tucked into a shoulder holster without breaking his polite smile.

You will not be returning from that ride.

A world without the 3DS line removes one of their more guaranteed revenue streams

But done right, and with just the right amount of luck, the Switch could be a malleable line with lots of cross-compatible accessories, making it easier for them to count on people having the hardware to work with their software

If the VR rumblings are true, with the right effort put in they could do some serious damage to the marketplace considering it has its own basic position-tracking controllers bundled in.

I've been defending the Switch's tech specs a lot, but man I don't think I wanna see the 30fps 720p VR that thing would pump out.

It's fine they'll pump the specs up by just making everything black or red.

I've only been able to play for a while, but Tank Troopers seems pretty fun. It's a weird mix of Overwatch and Mario Kart that works surprisingly well. You can steer and aim with the circle pad and accelerate/decelerate like in Mario Kart with the A and B buttons. You can also auto accelerate or decelerate by double tapping the d-pad directions. There's also a 360 degree firing mode toggle, which is nice when you have auto accelerate on. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like the game supports the c-nub. Besides that, I'm having a lot of fun with a shooter that doesn't cramp my hands like Kid Icarus.

My goodness. Fantasy Life takes a while if you are a completionist. I'm at 8/12 lives and still trying to get them all set up and levelled a bit. I think it's because you are often given a task where you have to go back to the same location multiple times.

It sounds weird but if it's the latter blowing into the button might fix it, I think it's a pretty common problem

There are guides online on how to fix the L and R buttons on the 3DS if you want to give that a shot, it's just a matter of unscrewing the stuff in the back and adjusting the connecting ribbon or blowing some air into it.

I took it apart, cleaned it a bit and put it back together. It didn't work. I blew in it and it started working, temporarily at least. I guess it'll be fine for playing Zelda with. I'll order a new shoulder button to replace it when I give it back to my nephew, or maybe find some rubbing alcohol and compressed air to do the job properly.

E: They dropped it to $169 within a couple months and gave out free games.
I plan on being a Nintendo Switch Ambassador.

Then 2012 brought about the XL for $199 and 2013 had the 2DS for $130 but most stores seemed to run specials on those.

How many games do you guys own for your systems? I made a shopping list of games for 3DS and they really add up quick. Even on ebay when it's just the cartridge itself, they seem to hold their value.

It has to be somewhere close to 50 or more. They weren't all at MSRP. Things like the Best Buy sales the other day easily filled spots in my collection. I couldn't even say the number of smaller digital only titles I have.

E: Also, that's probably a good tip to share. If you're not a diehard Pokemon fan, wait and they'll be $20 on a brief sale then skyrocket to $50 for a used copy.

PS4: 15

Does anyone remember Go Go Kokopolo, the arcade-y, puzzle-ish DSiWare game that came out around the same time as 3DS? No? Well, the developer immediately began teasing a 3DS sequel and after 5+ years in development it's finally done and it'll be released next week in NA for $6:

My gaming backlog is massive yet I want to buy more games.

I need to finish:
Pokémon Moon
Woolly world
Fire emblem conquest
Planet robobot
Phoenix Wright trilogy

I have the following still in the wrapping:
Dragon quest 8
Xenoblade
Codename steam ( it was so cheap)
Chibi robo ziplash (again super cheap and cute amiibo)

I need to stop playing fire emblem heroes!!

You'd be surprised. I mean, it wouldn't be absolutely stunning like what you can do with Vive and Oculus, but you still get some pretty okay VR gaming experiences out of something with specs around the range of GearVR.

Quick question - I've got Dragon Quest IX and the package includes a bunch of French writing on it. I'm in the U.S. and ordered it from Walmart.com a while back. Should I be worried about this not working on U.S. DS/3DS systems? I don't know if Canadian-region DS games are a thing. Just wanna make sure before I sell it because I'd hate to accidentally screw some guy over.

EU games have EFIGS text on them, not just English and French; ESRB doesn't exist in Europe (we have PEGI); and DS games are region-free.

If you see French on something North American, it's Canadian, they're required by law to do it.
