I'd avoid ChrisFix's detailing advice though. I don't think he actually knows what he's doing, and just got the information together for a video. The collab. video he did with Saabkyle (where they clean and polish his car) is really bad. There are much better videos from people who actually know what they are talking about.

The main thing about guys like Hoovie and for example Tavarish is that their target audience most likely isn't teenagers. They aren't really spreading the plague that is rich / super car lifestyle vlogging charade that sets impossibly high standards for young people and shoving merchandise down their throats, while they themselves are being funded by the big bank of parents and claiming it's all their own success.

I'm probably way late on this, but this dude is restoring a $100 sat for 20 years Fiero. Forums user InitialDave gets a shout out in the second episode for the method of using diesel to clear old engine oil from engines.

VVVV: Yeah I wouldn't do that neither. I do enjoy these amateur projects though, because I learn a lot from angry people in the comment section.

Anyone got any opinions on Matt from Obsessed Garage? I used to enjoy some of his crazy detailing videos, but the arrogance (that he portrays as him being misunderstood) in some videos is just too much. 40 minutes whining about how crappy something that isn't a $2000 pro brand is and how hard it was to assemble (which of course isn't his own stupid fault).

He's the quintessential "I'm always right and won't budge" type of guy even if presented with evidence. Which is a shame, because I liked how he didn't just buy into the hype of new products and making reviews that pretty much just reads like a press release (Like Pan the Organizer does).

The worst thing about the anti-masker people mentioned above isn't that they are basing their views on science (because the science isn't even close to conclusive regarding masks used by the general public), but it's a knee-jerk selfish rear end in a top hat reaction. "Muh freedoms" etc.

Edit: I tried watching B is for Build again because his boat is a bit interesting. He's even more insufferable than before and apparently know nothing about what he's doing according to the comments.

I guess this is the right thread to ask. What's the goon opinion on Uncle Tony's Garage? As I'm probably buying a '65 Dart I've been doing research and looking at videos and of course UCG shows up. Seems like an old school guy (in many ways) that knows his old cars. Commenters seem to like him, but I figured best to ask before getting sucked into listening too much to what he says.

These videos have probably been posted before. Keep coming new ones though. It's basically all the same content. Most (all, really.. the road is closed a lot of the time) of the fails are people just being idiots, but I must say some cars seem to be overly sensitive to water. Like barely touches the lower bumper and still gets screwed.
