I'm thinking of a song maybe from the 90s-00s that I think was from an upbeat hard rock band in a style similar to something like Weezer or Chumbawumba. I'm not even sure if I have the words right, but it seems like he was saying: something something something (short pause) LIKE THAT! something something something (short pause) LIKE THAT! Maybe it was "I LIKE THAT!" or "IT'S LIKE THAT!" I searched google for "like that" lyrics and it is not Webbie, Jojo, Black Eyed Peas, T.I., Hot Chelle Rae, Guy Sebestain, nor 3 Doors Down. The Guy Sebestian song is actually very close in cadence and they way they say LIKE THAT, but the song I'm thinking of is more hard rock.

The chorus has a soft beat and one part sounds like either "I'll do anything" or "make me do anything" in a falsetto-sorta male voice with "thing" going up in pitch. But the parts after the chorus sound a little deeper with a harder beat. Not much to go on, sorry. Ric Ocasek - Emotion In Motion? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVXy7AsjvL4

Is there a much more toned down version of I Will Wait by Mumford & Sons? I heard the original today for the first time and recognized it, but it seems like the version I heard before wasn't so upbeat. I'm thinking it was the same person singing, but it had a sadder feel. I checked youtube and am definitely NOT thinking of the Hootie version. I don't think what I heard was one of the covers from youtube. I'm about positive I heard it either on on an indie (indy, indi?) rock station or maybe as background music in a commercial. Skunkduster fucked around with this message at 04:35 on May 2, 2013 |

This is a song I've heard a couple of times on a local classic rock station. It has a sad gritty blues feel very similar to Robin Trower's "Bridge of Sighs", but a little more 4/4 upbeat sounding. The singer's voice is also very similar to someone like Robin Trower or Joe Cocker. The lyrics to what I assume the chorus is [something that rhymes with "give it away"] hey [something something something] Give it awaaay Coming back tomorrow just like today and then a part of one of the verses that I could make out: Take a second, baby, everybody's learning to breathe. I was at work and on a call when the song came on the radio, so I didn't get a chance to write down any of the other lyrics. I figured with that much, it would pop right up on a google search, but no luck at all.

Not a song, but an album cover. This is for a friend, so I don't have a lot of details. Album cover is a man (probably a photo) possibly wearing a pageboy hat. He is facing forward and is reaching towards the camera. His face is out of focus and there is a tattoo of a star or something like that on his hand.

I heard a song on the radio when I was driving home tonight. The station was 89.3 "The Current" out of Minneapolis or somewhere in the Twin Cities. They play everything from new stuff by local bands, to 1950s blues, to French pop from the late 60s, so I have no idea which era/genre this song is from. It is a female singer and the words I think I remember are "You don't know the death of my soul" and then "death of my soul" was repeated several times through the song. The style of the singing and music was along the sames lines as Yello - The Rhythm Divine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EtmMGODfhc0.
