How would you compare the handling in the two cars and how do they compare in daily driving, cabin room, etc? NC's are cool. They look like poo poo, but they're cool. I had some guy who was like 6'6 and 250lbs squeeze into my car with a helmet on when I had my hardtop. I took a ride with him in his NC and there's a lot more grunt and a lot more refined and purdy. It reminded me more of the MR-S' interior. I got a 74:xx run when he was in my car, when I rode with him he spun out and still managed a 65:xx. I was holding onto the "oh poo poo" bar like my life depended on it. edit: I'm running under the radar with my 90-93 wheels on my 96 Phone fucked around with this message at 21:34 on Oct 11, 2007 |

It's a lot of stretchign the top and rivets. What would be the best sequence of upgrades? Softtop >> Rollbar >> Torsen LSD? e- Which is the best rollbar that will fit under a hardtop?

You can still tell that you're not in the best situation with the RT-615, but I'm enjoying the hell out of mine. I have to remind myself to slow down when driving my dad's Focus with all-seasons around corners.

What a good all-season for potential snow driving. It doesn't snow much in NC, but I'd rather not have my Azenis out on the road when it does.

Careful there, tiger. You may shatter his world view. Is it worth it to just goto a Miata specialist to get the oil changed rather than trying to do it in the parking lot? I think the cost is like 25 vs 20, but I'm guessing it could be a learning experience. ninja edit- the miata garage is right around the corner for me, so it's not like I have to go out of my way

What would cause a rough idle out of nowhere? It used to just be silent at like 800rpm, now it sits and drops to like 600 and the car rumbles like one of those vibrating mattresses.

If I were you I'd order a set of NGK blues, it's only 35 bucks. It more than likely will solve the problem. If not, at least you have eliminated a possibility and you'll know how old the wires are. I honestly want to say that the wires were done at 60k because my wires are blue. Appreciate the help, though.

That LINE on the headunit shouldn't be there. I have the Bose-esque radio which doesn't have the circle DIN on the back, so I had to patch into the tape connector. In the cubby, there's a switch, and when it's on, the radio immediately goes to LINE and receives input from the 1/8" inch miniplug and the blue LED shines.

The bottom pic looks kinda awesome if it didn't seem that the tires would hit the fender. I was getting off of work one night, and there was a white NA with an olive green hardtop. An old Mazda badge, maybe some Eunos stuff, a euro-style rear fascia. Guy comes out, and I chat with him for a while and he handed me a Club Roadster business card. I got it on November 10th, I think.

I'm about 800/6mo with full coverage with State Farm on a 96 with $1000 deductible; however, I'm still under "inexperienced operator" terms since I'm 19 and have only had my license for two years, so when that drops next October, it's like 600/6mo. I know I can do better.

Well, out with the old, and in with the older. Got a 1994 A-Pkg with my insurance money. It seems to be OK, but I do have my work cut out for me. Tomorrow the hardtop goes on, and hopefully by the end of the week I'll have the factory 14x6 alloys wrapped in some 185/65/14 Falken Ziexs I've had lying around since November with an alignment to boot. 3400 OTD for an A-pkg with 145k miles and Koni yellows . I didn't make off like a thief, but it isn't god awful.

I dropped off my friend at her dorm, and pulled into my apartment's parking lot noticed a sweet smell. Parked it and saw smoke from under the hood. I may have gone a bit too fast over some pavement that has been ravaged by tree roots, but I honestly don't know. It's going in for repairs on Tuesday anyways.
