Khagan posted:What other Australian post-rock bands would you recommend? The only bands that I can think of off the top of my head isn't reaaallly post-rock but eh, My Disco is kind of angular and mathy. And Eleventh He Reaches London is more drawn out indie-core with some post-rock elements or whatever, I just think that maybe people will like them because I've liked a lot of the stuff posted here and I want to contribute with some lesser known Australian bands.

Cymbal Monkey posted:So, I've just gotten hold of (legitimately) the 65dos soundtrack for No Man's Sky soundtrack and I'm calling it here, without a hint of hyperbole or doubt at least for my taste: this is the greatest score in video game history. It's also some of the best work 65 have ever done. Different genre, but Austin Wintory's score of Journey and now Abzu are nearly peerless for me. Everything I've heard of 65dos stuff for NMS is very good so far though.

Long time no posts, coming back in to say I've been really enjoying Purple Haus by Beat the Mammoth recently. https://bearthemammoth.com/album/purple-haus Pretty clean, not overlong buildups, some nice payoffs. Cool album.
