Yeah I guessed so. There’s a few seemingly running on a couple of those frequencies, but the opening of the album sounds like the US HFGCS but the frequencies listed aren’t matching any in the track listing.

Perhaps the frequencies are meaningless

Ok, memories then.

GY!BE and Mogwai at the Edinburgh International Festival, both seated at the Leith Theatre. Enjoyable but not as fun as they could have been. ASMZ gigs are a bit better and a bit more loose.

Also I saw EITS at a festival from in front of the barriers when I used to do gig photography and I just sat on the metal and it was like I was in a row all of my own. Like they were playing just for me and if I looked forward I couldn’t perceive anyone else. All the other photogs left after one song (they didn’t really know how long they were) but the rules are usually “three songs, no flash” which was basically their entire set :v:

Somehow I think I missed that 65dos released a new album in 2019? Or maybe I listened to it and forgot it. Listening to it now and it's not very memorable :(

I miss when 65dos were making loving jams. Radio Protector is the song I always credit with getting me to pick up the keyboard. That song still gives me goosebumps every time I hear it.

now they just gently caress about and i hate it

Got to get the rider right

Godspeed You! Black Emperor are hitting the festival circuit hard this summer, from Atlanta through to California and Austin, culminating in a headline appearance at Barcelona's AMFest.

A word of warning to any organisers: be extra careful with their rider requests. They once sparked an altercation at All Tomorrow's Parties by refusing the food that was brought to their trailer because it was "the wrong sort of lentils".

Every year I am too busy doing bits and pieces at the Edinburgh Fringe and miss it :-(

I've never been able to go to ATG because it's right during the Edinburgh Fringe. I don't do 23 shows in a row now but I do other things to help organise bits of it and I need to be around.

I will just quit one year and go.
