Where are my bitches?
Food for thought, sitting 10ft from my 100" screen, the 720P image coming from our Sanyo Z4 couldn't possibly look better. I honestly don't see the need to ever upgrade to 1080P. The picture on a nice HD-DVD is flawless. Absolutely, completely flawless.

Nice! :)

Honestly it will probably be a bit sooner than later just due to the fact that we want to move to a 135" 2.35:1 and figure we might as well get a new projector and some more contrast while we're at it. It helps that we already have a line of buyers waiting for the Z4 too, nearly everyone that's seen it in action wants to buy it

I went to a fantasy football draft where the guy was shooting a spreadsheet off his laptop at about 70" or so (4:3 screen at 800x600) and it looked like a big regular TV image, nothing special but it looked fine.

For $150 I'd black my room out, shoot the image right on the wall (as long as it's light colored) and enjoy the giant image.

I'm not sure if I mentioned it in this thread yet or not but we're running the same setup (100" parkland plastics screen) and we love it too. It looks store bought (we bordered ours with black velvet wrapped oak 1x3s) the image quality is great, and you can clean it with household cleaners anytime you want. Ours cost $100 by the time we bought the border materials and the backing (we backed it with pegboard so it'd be sturdy for moves etc) and it was worth every penny for sure.

Here's a vote for the Panasonic. We recently upgraded from a Sanyo Z4 to a Panasonic AE4000 and could not be happier. I never imagined the difference in brightness and picture quality would be this noticable.
