This is what you get with a lot of random electronics and bored fraternity guys hoping to get engineering degrees (some of them are goons, which helps):

We had to take apart a whole bunch of old sound systems, and run amps to each of those car subs. Then we messed around with the two receivers and use them for power as well. You can hear it from outside of our house and it gets the people dancing. Not nearly as cool or as useful as some of the other stuff in this thread, but it's recycling at its best.

Edit: We now have it mounted on the bottom of the desk. We can point and shoot fog....we are pretty cool.
