I used it once. We got fares from our small-market airport to O'Hare and then O'Hare to Dulles for a little less than I was able to find O'Hare to Dulles flights. It saved us the 3-hour drive to O'Hare, but probably not that much actual money. The flights were all at normal times, not any red-eye flights or anything.
