Video from last year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1P_B65XW4I

Most of the work has concentrated on Spiders, although I'm currently extending the simulation to cover creatures of similar morphology (body close to ground, legs in parallel), such as insects and lizards.

So in the videos is there a general path that the spider must navigate across? Or is it just put in a box / near a wall, and the AI does the rest?
On that note, when the walls get destroyed, is its movement away from the collapse AI too?

It was loving fun to make, all 1000+ Delphi lines of it. Unfortunately I've changed computers since then and it just won't run for some reason, and I haven't taken the time to install Delphi 7 again (best IDE ever by the way).

I've used delphi all my programming life, and I have to say it's fantastic. Even now, it's not over bloaty, and it's really usable.

I'd be really interested in the source code :)

I was tired of having all my AIM logs in different formats, what with the various different Adium logs over the years, and Gaim/Pidgin having its own thing, so I wrote an app to read all of them and write them out to a common XML format. Once I'd done that, though, I realized it might be interesting to mine the data for statistics. Most of that was textual, but I did generate some pretty graphs showing how often I talk to individual people over time:

Matplotlib makes gorgeous graphs...

I think it's interesting that you keep logs from that long ago. Is there any reason, may I ask?

Slapped this together over the weekend. Quite buggy, no sprites, no sound, etc.

How can you "slap this together" over a weekend?!

I have no idea what my accent is. I've only been in bristol for a weekend.

You certainly went west-country for parts of that.

This looks super useful! It would be nice if it could link to an external calendar for mobile access (IE: GMail or Exchange)
