muscles like this? posted:Got done watching this one and its just a plain bizarre short. Its another one of those "training manuals for aliens" shorts where they explain some really really basic information. Like, you need to eat food to have energy to do things. Also after eating you will eventually have to take a poo poo. You should try going to the bathroom at the same time every day but if you feel the need to at other times you should go then, too. So does anyone know why Cathy doesn't eat breakfast? I've been absolutely baffled by that one ever since I saw it.

Not even Rifftrax could make the Star Wars Holiday Special good for me. I had to watch it in two separate sittings, and even then it was hard to resist just turning it off because it's that loving bad. I guess it would've helped if I knew the SWHS was two hours long though, and it was funny to see commercials from my local CBS affiliate from 30 years ago.

Pooned posted:I just watched The room with the riffs on, and oh my god what a piece of poo poo movie. The riffing was alright, but my god. I think 50% of the movie was old camera footage of San Francisco, 40% awkward HORRIBLE sex scenes and 10% people greeting each other. I read on Wikipedia that he meant it as a black comedy, but i can't imagine Tommy Wiseau be intelligent enough to even know what a black comedy is. It did provide what I think is the best riff to date though. And yeah, there's no loving way that movie was supposed to be a "black comedy," there was clearly nothing intentionally comedic about it. I had no idea this movie was so huge in bad-movie-cult circles though, I didn't even know it existed until the riff came out. BTW, what was the Arrested Development reference? I remember them saying something about the Bluths around the "chicken cheep-cheep-cheep" scene, but I didn't get it. raditts fucked around with this message at 22:13 on Jun 28, 2009 |
