I had a 2006 Mazda 3 that got totaled in 2014 that I loved and I've been driving a penalty box Juke since. Last night I picked up a brand new 2018 Mazda 6 Grand Touring Reserve in Titanium Flash Mica for $26,000. I think I'm in love and happy to be back in the Mazda family.

Awesome, that's a really good price too.

I was not planning on actually buying yesterday until he gave me a quote of $26 and change. The thing was stickered at around $34.

I've got a 2018 Mazda 6 Grand Touring Reserve and the only thing that bothers me is how long the infotainment takes to boot up.

I didn't get the Signature because the camera resolution was so bad I thought I was going blind.

I asked this in the stupid questions thread but thought I'd ask here too since it is Mazda specific:

I have a 2018 Mazda 6 Grand Touring Reserve with 24,000 miles on it.

Every now and then, about 2x a week, when I crank the car the start/stop button flashes amber. If I turn the car off and re-crank it, it does not flash anymore. The car cranks, runs, and drives normally. The only information in the book says to have the dealer inspect it. I cannot find any consistent method to make it happen, so I don't really trust them to diagnose an intermittent thing like that. Any suggestions other than take it to them the next time I crank it and it happens?

I have replaced the fob battery in the off-chance it was running low.

How much am I going to spend: a buttload or an rear end-ton?

2018 Mazda 6 Grand Touring Reserve, 30K miles.

Never given me a single problem. Replaced the battery with a Group 35 AGM on 11/16/2022.

Starting Monday of this week, it would at least once a day, when shifting into reverse or drive after sitting flash "Charging System Malfunction" and then it would go away and drive perfectly fine. This didn't happen every time, but did happen at least one time a day. The battery read fine on a multimeter (12.6v) and at idle it was reading 13.1-13.4, a little low, so I'm thinking alternator.

I took it to the dealer Friday. All day they looked at it, said it isn't throwing any codes, it must be the 9 month old battery.

So, I picked it up this morning, got a refund on the battery and got a new one and put it in. Drove the car for about 45 minutes and went home. About 20 minutes later, I was going to run to the store. Cranked the car, put it in reverse, and was backing out of my garage. It went 100% dead. There is zero electrical. It will not even jump off. It is sitting in my driveway just dead as poo poo.

The dealer is supposed to call me Monday to schedule a tow.
