It's been almost two months since I've started, I'm kind of confident in my mixing abilities. Whenever I've done it in front of people they've been generally pleased I think. Hoping somebody digs this one. I did get a bunch of the songs from the Implicit & Suneel – Juno Funky House 10 mix, wasn't trying to copy or anything I just try to make mixes of songs I've recently found (still working on amassing my djing folder because I just started really listening to house maybe 8 months ago). Oh just a bedroom dj or like friends house parties or whatever, not looking to get into djing clubs or anything big like that. I guess I would say $600 would be my budget really, I could get a mixtrack pro whenever because it's fairly cheap but anything expensive I would have to wait until fall.

This was one I had a rough draft of last night just messing around but I figured it sounded nice so I tried two more times and this is what I ended up with. It sucks not being about to use headphones to cue tracks. Done on my laptop + virtual dj again, I hope this doesn't contain any horrible transitions (apologies for the last one hahaha). Enjoy. Just recorded a mix last night high as hell at the end of my night. I'm on vacation in LA so I didn't have my controller so I opened up virtual dj (HELL YEAH) and made this. I picked out these tracks to dj with at my friends house when we were just hanging out and some annoying girl was complaining about Beside Me and thought that Miike Snow was scary. I typically use artist's soundclouds, their beatport pages, label SCs, blogs, mixes of people I like, and discographies usually. I totally feel like the area of music I'm mostly missing out on is the old stuff. I'm really into deep house/electro(like the recent mix not commercial or annoying harsh stuff)/garage influenced house and I'd love to get into their old tracks, where can I find mixes of this stuff? or just tracks in general?
