The life insurance company I work for has a dozen open positions.
We are having a job fair.

JOB OPENING



There is an actuarial opening in Dallas area:


This position supports product development, implementation, and management through performing actuarial tasks. Duties include but are not limited to: creating, maintaining, and updating actuarial models, assisting in the preparation of documents for policy filing, product pricing, drafting documents outlining system changes required to support new product design, assisting in the review of marketing material, training staff on new products, and gathering and analyzing experience data.

Requirements



The successful candidate must have at least the following:

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a grade point average of the equivalent of a B or better;
Proficiency in Word, Access, and Excel, including Visual Basic for Applications;
Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
Authorization to work in the U.S.



The following experience and skills, while not required, will be considered in the evaluation process:

Require at least one exam of the Society of Actuaries;
Annuity or life insurance product development or product management experience preferred

Familiarity with a programming language;
Familiarity with an actuarial pricing system
Ability to use and manipulate SQL Server.
Other evidence of success in a business or academic environment would be considered.
