Looking for a job I'm a teacher who can't get his career off the ground - lost out on several positions I interviewed for this summer to "someone with more experience" Location Santa Clara County or San Francisco Education BA in History from UC Irvine, 2006; Single Subject Teaching Credential in the Social Sciences content area from UC Irvine, 2007 Work Experience Since receiving my teaching credential I've been hired to a school twice - both times mid year. In January 2008 I was hired to teach 2 classes (which was expanded to 4) in San Francisco USD and in January 2009 I was hired as a long-term substitute to co-teach a 3rd grade class as it had exceeded its 20:1 student to teacher ratio. Between those times I worked as an Office Specialist for Santa Clara County's District Attorney's Office where I filed paperwork and copied evidence for the defense. Looking for Anything. I'm at a point where I can no longer go the process of getting hired and released from a school every 6-9 months - summer vacation isn't very fun once you realize that it means you are unemployed, so I am not opposed at all to getting out of the teaching game altogether (at least for now).
