Derby/Newport Vermont has an opening just created for someone looking to get their foot in the door. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- February 9, 2009 OPENING –DERBY OFFICE Network Technician Responsible for the daily monitoring of server activity; PC workstation installations; and end-user support. Duties may include: Act as primary contact for end-user issues related to PCs and application software. Train end-users on network operations, procedures and update network documentation. Perform administrative tasks including defining and deleting users, resources and access levels. Install and configure PC workstations and connect them to the network. Perform network troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve common network problems. Perform server backups and data recovery. Review daily event logs. Provide assistance to the network administrator and IT department and any other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Windows XP/2000/2003, active directory and TCP/IP experience is necessary. Requires excellent communication skills, analytical and problem solving skills, the ability to multi-task, work independently and prioritize work.
