I think he does go a good job of preparing ippo's body to be able to handle the next time/tools to be able to do it. but honestly, all the direct coaches of every fighter seem to don't do much ringside. Sendos/Vorgs/Monkey (goddamn was he useless) The most any of them ever give as advice is "Use the round to recover" or "Use the first round to scout them"

Ippo is a great strategist now, yes. but man, during the time when Ippo was trying to brainstorm a new improved dempsey roll, and Kamogawa just let him try to do it on his own, I think it did Ippo way more damage to himself somehow than anything else.

I think a bit before Mashiba was going on about how he took up boxing to provide for his little sister. But she doesn't need that anymore, since she's an adult and has her own job to take care of herself. (shouldn't they move to a better apartment already) So I think in the mid rounds where he's beat up, he's gonna be like "i don't need to box for kumi anymore..its fine if i lose" but end up pulling a resolve where he realizes he does enjoy boxing and he's boxing for himself now. and gains some green eyes buff. Also looking forward to him going "oh so this is what Ippo foresaw in the fight" for that sparring tip he did a few chapters back. and does the counter he prepared for that.

Like I guess the fights going on, but having to deal with this pacing of 9 pages or whatever of the fight each every 2-3 weeks is going to take forever.
