Nobody puts Phil in a corner.

I use Loops
They're pretty good for concerts, and they don't look out of place at other events (I've even worn them at a Blue Jays game (stadium experience was way too loving loud))

saw that announcement and just my luck, the day they're playing in LA is the day after jesus piece and sanguisugabogg play in NYC which i'm flying to to see that show with friends. ah well, i've seen speed three times already and idc about knocked loose really. i've never seen loathe which would be fun but whatever.

overall a pretty stacked show that everyone should check out if they can. i think show me the body is overhyped, though.

I'm too old for metal concerts. I keep buying tickets thinking I'll go but day-of it's just not appealing to me. (Doesn't help they mostly hit my location midweek.)

i had tickets to see veil of maya play last night and i didn't bother going. didn't help that they were the only band on the lineup i cared about, and they're touring off their most recent album which i listened to in its totality maybe one single time.

checking setlist.fm helps to either make or break how bummed i am about missing a show. looks like they played mostly songs off the new album, but i am bummed it seems like they played "it's not safe to swim today" which is a banger, plus some older jams in the back half of the set. ahhh well i'll catch them on the next djent tour or whatever lol

Agreed, although I do really like We Came To Play. I'll check where that is in the setlist and use the rest of their time to piss and grab a beer.

The Denver show is at Mission Ballroom, which is a dope venue. Very stoked to see KL headline there.

Yeah that Upon Stone rules. "In Flames worship" made me expect the usual Clayman/Colony-era and there's definitely a little of that feel but it mostly sounds closer to Lunar Strain which was a nice surprise. I'm here for a 90s Gothenburg melodeath revival.

Even less -core than Upon Stone but this was another great melodeath release from last year with huge Jester Race vibes

I saw Botch in Atlanta last night. It's the best show I've ever seen. They absolutely tore the place down and sounded incredible.

It undid any hope I had for more new material. They said, "This is the final time we'll ever play Atlanta, or anywhere in the south. We love you." :smith:

Such a badass show though. They're old as hell and so am I.

Really excited to hear this, I'm going to the Manchester UK date in an extremely old man way - as in driving over straight from work watching them with a non alcoholic beer and driving back.

Can't believe they are touring at all, never thought I would get to see them.

Just got done listening to it. It feels like a direct continuation of Godless Prophets so…it’s pretty good. The vocals definitely drown out some of that sweet riffing underneath sometimes though.

I think it's their best since Deliver Us. Great mix of short punchy hardcore-tinged tracks and more dynamic grandiose songwriting, and it all sounds super inspired. The closer and Mausoleum are both up there with the best things they've ever written.

Although it does kinda throw me off that John Henry's clean vocals sound almost exactly like Deryck Whibley here

Lions for Lambs is my favorite off that EP, but Collateral is a jam also.

They were supposed to follow it up with more music, but then everyone knows what happened after that…

Just got back from the Ov Sulfur show, with Mental Cruelty, Ghost Bath, and Extermination Dismemberment. Great show, everyone was really good. I was mainly there for Ov Sulfur and they did not disappoint though I don't know why they didn't play the title track of their album!

Sawtooth Grin dropping a surprise today - Jabberwocky. Yeah, the album that we heard demos of back in 2012.

I have 8 demo tracks that came out back in the 2012 era (only 3 had vocals), this EP is 4 tracks. The instrumentation has some changes, new song titles, lyrics seem new too.
