New BMTH song dropped today and it's not good. Even for current-pop-BMTH. (I really liked That's the Spirit too.)

This is crazy, I had no idea. Keith is really an A+ vocalist both in his lyrics and delivery. I don't know how he's been doing his thing for 20 years now without absolutely destroying his vocal cords. I get that there's a lot of technique involved in this style, but he makes it seem easy and has a sense of urgency in his delivery that makes everything hit so hard. Still haven't seem them live. On the bucket list for sure.

Not sure if it's a mistake or what since the album isn't supposed to come out until Friday, but the full album stream of Periphery's Hail Stan was posted on YouTube this morning.

New Periphery is my AOTY thus far. I listen to "Reptile" over and over again (which is saying a lot!). It's so drat good.

I wish DGD's Artificial Selection tour would have been here any other day than the one before I had an early morning meeting so I could have seen them.

Anyone check out the 10 year anniversary, remixed version of ABR's Constellations album? It's getting me back into the album that really got me into ABR and it's awesome. Overall sound is much cleaner and there's a lot more clarity in the guitars.

I'd agree. I really dug them back in the Messengers/Constellations days, but just sorta got tired of them from there. They're good at what they do, but everything just sounds a bit samesie. But I'll always give their new songs/albums a listen when they come out, even if they don't get much play beyond the first listen or two.

Funny - this is exactly what I was ready to post in response to seeing a new ABR song posted. I can get into some tracks on Leveler, but then everything runs together to the point I can't even tell different *albums* apart. (The lone exception to this is "Ghosts" - I love that track.)

I live 1/2 way between Atlanta and Charlotte, so I got to see Periphery twice in 2 days.

Last night in Charlotte, though, Spencer's voice gave out so he only managed to sing like 4 songs. He was talking about how he was worried about having to cancel the tour if it got any worse, so I hope its not a chronic thing.

But he did crowd surf from the stage back to the sound booth to watch the rest of the show to make up for it. Then the band finished the rest of the songs instrumental

e: Also he changed the words from the song "Scarlet" to "Charlotte"

I saw a Facebook post where they announced the next show would be all instrumental because Spencer had laryngitis.
